I don't like Zahid Ahmed. I'm sure he's the one cast opposite Saba Qamar.

Since Hangor is a story about navy. I wonder what is the role of Saba and Dure Fishan!😕 I hope they aren't playing wify roles to the male leads.

Well . I read about the officers who served in it..

Notably, Hangor's officers that served in 1971 included:

India has already made a film on that

I didn't know this is about the 71 war of the submarines towards the end of the liberation war with Bangladesh

Pak is making 2 projects related to the liberation war of 1971

One is khel khel mein which will be released this Nov 19 starring sajjal and Bilal

And now this

Hope the park version truthfully says the war to be between east pak vs west pak which is now Bangladesh

Rather than saying it to be an ind vs pak war which it wasn't and which the indians very wrongfully mentioned in their multiple films

Taking all the credit of the 9 month long fight back by the BD people with blood and flesh like literally

Indian army just intervened towards the end in December

Won't deny their contribution

But the Indian filmmakers just ignored the first 8 months of the war between the 2 Pakistans which started on march 25 ....1971

I would really like to know and see the pak perspective of the liberation war

@bold,The Indian films left out this portion of history simply because it is not their story to tell. How could a third party possibly narrate the details of an incident that transpired between two other countries? This is why they have always emphasized only on the phase from wherein India became involved

@red, The phase from the moment India stepped into the conflict from 3rd December 1971 is known as the Indo - Pak War. If the Bangladesh Liberation War is the entire chapter then Indo - Pak War of 1971 is a paragraph in it. The right to depict the entire history of the Liberation War lies with the Bangladeshis.

India just helped the BD soldiers .......they didn't overtake the war .....the BD soldiers were very much fighting simultaneously throughout December Bd got full independence on 16th Dec

I m not expecting either India or Pakistan to make a film on Bd liberation war and glorify Bd

But at least don't distort the history

There were numerous other Indo pak wars.....make films on them and take credit and glorify Ind as much as possible....I will clap as well which I did literally as I have been watching Bollywood since border released ...lol....

I hv nothing against Bollywood .....I owe my childhood and present adulthood to the Indian film industry ......

It's just that what's wrong is wrong

Nowhere did I mention the war was overtaken by India. They stepped into the conflict as allies to Bangladesh, played their part by helping the Mukti Bahini and that was it. The only three Bollywood films set during the 1971 period that I have seen so far are The Ghazi Attack,Raazi and Children Of War. All three were based on different real incidents that transpired during that phase and none of them distorted history or excessively glorified India's role in the Liberation War. Please do name the movies that depicted historical distortions and gave the credit for the Mukti Bahini's efforts to the Indian Armed Forces. If that is indeed the case then the filmmakers deserve to be duly criticised for it and I won't object either.
