Lol, I am not offended or defending anything.
I don't care if there are shirtless scenes or not. I don't even think it's derogatory to call someone a sex symbol. The meanings associated with sex symbol in 1950s is not the same in 2020s. It is seen as more sexually and bodily empowering.
Where have I ever defended or got offended by the shirtless scene. My points were
1. There should be minimum censorship. I defended only freedom of expression
2. Using someone's sexual attraction to sell a product or show essentially means they are a sex symbol. (In this case, you believe his shirtless scenes were integral to story telling, but I don't, and therefore I don't see anything wrong in the other user calling him a sex symbol).
