Maybe because people love Samrat more than Virat... Socho Lead se zayda side characters ko audience pasand karegi toh problem toh hogi na... Ab didi aur sai ko hi le lo didi lead hai as per PH and Vanku but mostly sab audience Sai ko like karti hai...

Exactly! because at the end of the show, they have to show didi as the protagonist so all characters at one point or the other will be butchered, be it Virat, Sai, or Samrat. The end seems to be decided that didi is the one who tolerated so much, got victimised, didn't get her one true love, had a husband who disrespected her, couldn't bear children, his former lover's wife always taunted her, she didn't receive acceptance from the whole family and the list goes on...😒

At the end of the show, she will become the "mahaanta ki murat" by reuniting Sairat and all her doings will be whitewashed and forgotten and if am not wrong the entire blame will shift on Sai for not trusting her husband enough. the same husband who keeps making commitments to other's wives at the expense of destroying his own relationship. 🤢

So basically yeah, all other character butchering happens because they need to be dropped down way below didi's level so that didi can be clean wiped in the end.

Asmi will be able to explain more thoroughly the character shift of characters as she is our source of information from KD. 😊

Despite many saying it is a way to garner sympathy for pakhi, but i cant feel a little ounce of bad for her character even after her manhandling by samrat. Even in these scene although Sammy being wrong i feel for him. A character doesn't deserve respect or even sympathy who is responsible to destroy lifes of others only to prove herself better than the other. She did it doing it to sai, devi, pulkit and indirectly harini.

Ghum has had a history with manhandling. Without taking away the fact that it is completely wrong and is something which is not supposed to be glorified, I wanted to look at it from a different perspective. It is not about portraying something wrong as right. By now we know that ghum is about flawed characters and hence not to be idolised. But Samrat’s character has been shown as someone who is mature, restrained yet with a profound voice to call a spade a spade. What they tried to show was that the level Patralekha is stooping day by day can even make a man as composed as Samrat to lose his patience. He is watching her and he has been extremely forbearing, but she has taken advantage of that. And pushed him. She is so obvious and specially today her desperation to enter the “friend” space that Sai has with Virat foregoing the fact that that a friend cum wife space had driven him to blow up. She is making zilch effort in her relationship with Samrat and it only obvious to him that she is only using him to stay in CN

Again, manhandling is wrong. But what I see is them trying to express that Patralekha’s actions are so disgusting that it can drive someone like Samrat too to react.

My only bone of contention- When Samrat is strong to voice his opinion and decisions why isn’t he breaking up. I understand the pressure from family and somewhere he still has a soft corner. But if he says his family is priority and he will protect Sai n Virat, then why is he letting her butt in everywhere and let her suck in his family’s peace and harmony🤷‍♀️

My POV. 🤞✌️😌

Samrat in KD was this and not someone who would manhandle his wife..They have deviated from that aspect with scenes like these for reasons known to them..Virat if they go by KD was supposed to be abusive and extremely at that, not just physically but emotionally as well.. They have toned him down here.. So Virat being abusive is something that is copy paste.Samrat being abusive is something that they added, here. Again RK was more dignified and classy and she did maintain a certain degree of distance from Rono, in Samrat's presence both physical and emotional, which Patralekha does not. So yeah...

I guess Vahini enjoys her devars manhandling their wives like scavengers. I think she is jealous of her devranis.

The amount of normalization of abuse in this show

Sai and Ashwini don't deserve that treatment, but Pakhi deserves it.

All women are not good.

Pakhi is evil, and she takes more interest in Virat than her relationship with Samrat.
