What the hell is going on?

I'm back after months, and I am soooo confused. I have seen some clips on Insta and my brain has warped. Can someone be kind enough to explain what's going on in the Chavan niwas?

By the looks of it, Sai has had another accident? What happened there? Did Virat do something again? I have a feeling he did.

Poor girl getting a second brain injury so soon? And my girl is apparently all dressed up the day she came back from the hospital doing pooja and serving priests and what not? When my mom had brain surgery, she didn't enter the kitchen for a month. She had extensive therapy to do for so many months before she could even return to work. Is Sai a superhuman or what?

What's the deal with Pakhi and Samrat? Hotstar summaries say that they want to give their relationship another chance, but Pakhi is still obsessed with SaiRat, acting like Virat owes her an explanation for being around his own wife? Speaking of SaiRat, it looks like they have had zero progress in their relationship. They are apparently living in different bedrooms too now???

And most puzzling is Bhavani and Ninad's affection for Sai. Yeh sab kahan se aaya?? I literally burst out laughing when I saw a clip of that. How did the villains of the show become so sweet? Did Kaku loose her "love" for Shahanu Kuli Maratha Pakhi as soon as Samrat came back and they didn't owe any money to Pakhi and Mansi? Even then, how did these Chavans warm up to Sai?

Mera matha ghum gaya hai (no pun intended). Someone help me please.

I tried. I really did. But I couldn't get myself to answer this. I would need paracetamol and a cup of tea to relax myself after if I even attempted. 🤣 There's just too much to go through lol

Let me try and summarise (I cannot believe I'm trying to make a gist out of Ghum and it's never moving plotlines but ok, we are going to try😆)

1. Samrat returned, there was a huge misunderstanding between the brother's. Pakhi did not get called out for whatever happened because the exact call being overhead etc was not brought out in front of the family; just the fact that she and Virat had a past and he was affected by it so everyone just asked them to clear misunderstandings and move on with their lives. Just before Samrat's return came Sairat's anniversary track wherein Sai put down all of Virat's efforts when she found out he wanted to actually celebrate a year of their marriage without giving clarity. She accused him of basically two timing both her and Pakhi (maybe atleast emotionally, not physically). Sai somehow convinces Sam to come back home and it was an endless zillat drama for weeks.

2. Virakhi met in a cafe where Pakhi professed her love to Virat and assured him that she'll take whatever he gives her, wherever, howsoever and so on (basically desperate pleas to make him accept her so called love and give them a chance since Samrat was already aware of their past). Virat clearly puts her down but Sai and her friend's see them holding hands and Pakhi crying inconsolably and Sai misunderstands it for them planning some kinda future to work things out and decides to move out slowly from Virat's life as he has started distancing himself from her and behaves like he doesn't care and so in a way Sai interprets all this as him being unable to move on from Pakhi.

3. Virat being an idiot threw attitude around at Sai at a very wrong time for the things she said and did on their anniversary and does not offer proper explanations to her questions. He mistreats her, humiliates her along with Pakhi and accuses her of being very self centred. Pakhi meanwhile kept up with her double agent love story, pretending to try mend her marriage with Samrat but obsessing over everything related to Virat or Sai & gaslights Virat on multiple occasions where he mistreats her and locks her up ( domestic abuse) in short. Virat is unapologetic about his behaviour and so Sai decides to leave their home and gets into a dangerous accident with head injury.

4. Samrat and Sai have a good bond by this time and he also reads Pakhi'a fakeness to a certain extent. Virat on seeing Sai on her deathbed again starts being nice to her in the hospital and she also melts and allows him to care for her. Devi Tai puts it into the heads of elders that whenever Sai or Virat go away from each other something bad happens to either of them, so Kaku and Ninad are now being nicer to Sai because of this so called belief. Aai has put Sai and Virat in seperate rooms on a psychiatrist's advice and asked them to try being friend's... which is the current track wherein they are being nice to each other and emotionally reinvesting in each other alongwith the never-ending same background zillat drama of CN folks and Pakhi's nautankis.

Phew! I'm sure I missed a lot of subtle points. But then Ghum has been meme-land for a few months now with shoddy writing, direction and acting in many tracks. Also, pretty unwatchable for a lot many in between because of too much toxicity, disappointing social messages or pretty inconsistent character graphs.
