It fully looks false, according to the script Ani is coming in a cart and Bondita gets to know the truth so why unnecessary drama and dragging? There are total 23 versions of Rishta Tera Mera, right? As Dur hai par tera saya hai mujhpe and Mera dil tu has two versions:

There's a difference isliye 23 versions, I actually had a doubt of this. So, after leap we got 2 new versions, I wish if we could have got more.. ❤️

Well I thoroughly listened to it and the singer sang "Mera dil tu pyaar Mera hai tu" So I got to the conclusion that there are two versions of it...I listened to it with full concentration

And then they changed their mind completely and went on with sampoo and Mano track which completely took this track out of equation and then they never played this version
until Bondita grew up and Anirudh confessed his feelings (I had tears in my eyes when this was played during confession)
