I hate the FL in that show. She's such an entitled brat, daughter of a rich doctor and thinks she owns the world. The ML is a research scientist and lives in a joint family. His family members are all extremely nice (sometimes too nice) and forgive all mistakes of the FL, sometimes they even go against their own son to support the DIL

They also made the ML wear glasses in this promo like the original

the storyline sounds different though. but yeah FL sounds like a spoilt brat. is it replacing mehendi hai rachne wali? that show's forum always ranks at #1 here

sasural genda phool was also a remake of one of the first star jalsha show called Ogo Bodhu Shundori. That also had a joint family and FL was a spoilt brat. Both were light hearted but this one is more comedy ie teh ML's family (coursins, uncles etc) are always having fun and pulling each other's legs whereas in SGP also had more serious tracks. Suhana wasn't also an airhead like the FL here lol

another difference: here the ML isn't a doormat like ishaan in SGP. ML here knows when to answer back to the FL or his family or his in-laws. He doesn't take shit from anyone. He's my only fav character in the show.

I loved the concept of SGP. Yeah you mentioned it was remake of a SJ show, have to agree SJ seems to have some good OG concepts👍🏼

yeah this FL is definitely more bratty than suhana. She still hasn't changed (show is still on air) but she oscillates between tracks like in one track she'll act mature and understanding and the next track she'll be hella annoying

lol nooo i'm not crazy about the ML. I just said the ML of the new show is good but i'm not crazy about the actor or anything. in fact the actor played villain in his previous shows (he also played shyam in the bengali version of IPKKND!)

but OBS is alltime fav bengali show because of the all the characters, especially badima 😃
