So looks like the writers are mirroring the Mandar track but with roles reversed where current and ex are challenging each other. These writers are obsessed with challenges. 
I really hate it when they show women fighting over men, as if it they are tied to the man and have no identity of their own. We've seen enough of FLs taking on Devi roop to protect their family or husband from a scheming vamp and I feel like this is right out of an EK story. 
If you have faith in your love you don't need to do all this (we know Raghav's situation, she doesn't). If the goal is to show Pallavi feeling insecure, they could have found better ways than to demean her this way. So much for strong women. 
Why couldn't they have avoided the cliche of Esha being obsessed with him and turning negative? She could just been the ex that he cares for as a close friend, but that's it.
