Super duper entertaining post♥️. But I'm in the minority of people not annoyed by modak mirchi. I thought it was cute. I have a different take to this. I actually have a lot of friends in school/college who have really strange nicknames - literally makes no sense sometimes or is actually embarrassing nicknames and to many people their names sound really weird and annoying but its an inside joke for us. Theres a lot of fondness, memories, nostalgia attached to it. And it does not get old at all. In some cases the origin of the name is from something that is like essentially redundant or even forgotten but the name has stuck because it was like our special name for the person that no one else uses.

I think this modak mirchi will be one of those special things for of Sairat ki no matter how annoyed anyone else gets by it including audience (lol), for them it'll be this special thing. A name they gave to each other for very sweet reasons. Each time they call each other MiMo they are commemorating their friendship and reminding other delusional creatures that they have a special nickname for each other which was thought out and is not just a short form of their actual name but is born out of some private memories. And it'll be something that only they can call each other. Just like jeeva-shiva it'll be exclusive. MiMo Maybe kinda childish lame and annoying to others but it will be still be exclusive!

Dikhate hain...in other unrealistic shows you know...In rival show The FL's briefcase drops and ML wants to help unpack and he gets a hold of a lingerie...But in real shows like Ghum...you see...pyaar se...pyaare pyaare looks de de kar...chamkeele kapde saz gaye...

Well there are many... I really liked him in the reception scenes....When Sai mentioned deal om the first day of marriage, he gulped and said Hmm in a way that it looked like he is finding it hard to talk...

the scene where he clarifies Sai went to DIG officer..the way he stops Sai and the way he reacts to Sai wanting to stay at Usha Mausi's...was so subtle but yet noticeable...The pride in his eyes when DIG talks about Sai....Then his apology to her afterwards, where he again gulps when she tells she is nothing to him...though I liked Ayesha there more, especially when she is teary on his lets be friends.....

I have to watch these scenes again...I only remember noticing the pride feeling.

I also liked him during the Amey kaand fight..

I liked him in the fight where Shivani is present. The other one in his uniform he was okayish. Ladakh fight - I did not like his performance much in that. In all these scenes, the direction was top notch.

His reactions to the name Aniket...there was a change in his eyes, everytime she took his name....he nailed the jealousy act then...I thought what is this man going to do when he falls in love and during Ajinkya he was so OTT at times....

Aniket track he was good - he actually was as irritating as he was supposed to be 😆. Ajinkya kaand - I did not mind the Sai birthday night outburst. Were there any other jealousy scenes in Ajinkya....I've already forgotten.

Then my most favourite fights between the two, however I always felt Ayesha was better in both... His best though I agree was handholding one...He looked scary...a chauvinist and it scared me...surprised me...

I was surprised by his performance in hand-holding - my God he was scary. I was not expecting him to be this effective. That was an unconvincing scene for him too - I guess that's where the director's role comes in.

The way he would gulp everytime Sai would mention no rishta between them and the hurt in his eyes...that is where I pointed out his nuances...But now I also realise Director has to be credited...A good director hides the flaws in the bad actors and enhances the art of a good actor...Second one happened with Neil...and first happened with Ayesha in the beginning and second later after learning from him.

@bold That is definitely true.

For me when an actor looks stiff, it puts me off. The more an actor is at ease, the less it looks like an actor acting and more convincing it seems that the actor is actually that character. For me, post SaiRat wedding, I was honestly quiet disappointed with Neil. Perhaps that stiffness might have been be due he wasn't that confident. May be I look for that ease and looking natural in an actor. From the discussion, I can definitely see that with the previous director, he definitely got better with time. So perhaps with the previous director he would have slowly gained confidence as well as improved his nuances which you have pointed out. Or maybe there is a trade-off in his case - I don't know.

Oh certainly I did not like him in both Ladakh confrontation and after Amey episode...Ayesha shined in both...however the direction was class apart... Wistfully I think ..with better directors these two would have shined...and the show as well...The bad ones.. destroyed so so so so many scenes...

What I know is director needs to push you...I have seen director taking actors out of the comfort zone..scolding you when you good up... Making you trust yourself...comes of great help when highly emotional or out of character scenes or intimate scenes are to be performed...you see when Jafer was there..there was no love and yet apart from emotional intimacy I could see a palpable sexual tension between the two and I would get so excited thinking...how are the going to deal going forward..especially with Neil as Virat...because he aces that tadap so well ..What when he falls in love...and now when all has happened..I see none ..neither emotional intimacy nor the tadap...the tension...It's all one tone...I crib a lot about good director...but I know what he/she brings on table..
