She probably wanted to show Sai is not physically fit to stand n do aarti, so it's better that pakhi and Sam does it.

She will become mahaan by offering chair to Sai, show that she cares so much for the choti Bahu of the house and that Sai is not well so can't stand, hence, she and Samrat can do the pooja. If Sai sits on the chair and try to do pooja, she can cry beizzati of all including her and bappa too.
