So finally the ghum ganja marathon ended for me. Super long post and multiple spoilers- full weeks worth- alert 😂
Iss pure hafte ka quota khatam! 😅
Despite fast forwarding vedi toxic vahini venom with her mother and also all her bits otherwise and as many of the omi/sonali bits that were avoidable in entirety, there was still MUCH to enjoy and MUCH to go back and watch again n again over the course of the week.
The biggest highlight has got to be the modak- mirchi friendship. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I love these new nicknames and the scene where this new naamkaran happens and that whole exchange, the reasoning behind the names is SO SO heartwarming, cute, sweet and all kinds of mush! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'm not sure that completely "forgetting" things of the past without talking about it is the best way to move forward. Rather they should keep reminding each other of the new "friends tag" to actually talk freely like friends do... Hopefully they will start seeing each others reasons for what they did in the process of this friendship. its such a relief to see them thaw the iciness/hate and actually try to renew this relationship with warmth and goodwill.
They were many highlights here are ALL the noteworthy things that I registered and have jotted down-
1. Virat didnt say mein husband hoon but he changed his line to mein Sai ke zindagi ke har mod mein uska saath dunga. I'm satisfied with that. 😅
2. I'm glad that in that moment where Sai was so thoughtlessly hurt by Omi/Sonali where they crossed a line between their anger n cruelty by calling a girl an orphan in such an insulting way- everyone has stood by her. That was so cruel that even cruelty ki.devi pp was for a sec taken aback. But she quickly snapped back to her real toxic self. But i did laugh when mohit became chhota bhai. He is chhota bhai of Samrat/Virat but not Sai 🙄 but whatever. Makers aise faux pass na karein toh this wouldn't be ghkkpm. How can they keep track of every characters age, profession, name, etc etc. Too much effort. I mean when they could have jeeva be called as shiva by shiva himself, then Mohit aging backwards to be ome Sai's chhota bhai is no biggie.
2b. BK recalled PPs behavior when Sai was hurt during mirchi grinding so when Sonali threw a fuss for the "minor" injury sustained, BK casually told pp to grind everything and that too laukar laukar. Lol😂 pp was anyway fearing punishment for how she treated Sai. Tog ultimately mil bhi gayi. Loved it.
3. I'm glad Sai-Virat did that pooja together. I love that in those moments of worship they always look so deeply invested- dil seh. They forget things past and do the pooja with love and bhakti and sincerity.
4. The whispering to gannu ji by Sai, Virat and Samrat was emotional. They are all purehearted in that scene. Sai asks for Virats happiness n Virat for Sai's.
5. The bits pist puja where Virat confesses aloud missing Sai, then hallucinates her and afterwards continues to think hes hallucinating when Sai really comes there is very cute.
6. Sai in a brief moment there confesses that she is used to their room and Virat gets happy thinking she has decided to move back in. But Sai puts breaks on his fast forward button. And she looks so vulnerable as she asks him if he has a problem with her coming to his room. I'm glad Virat has atleast reassured her that she can come to the room anytime.
7. Ironic that the impurest mind possessing Pp comes loaded not just with taunts but to sprinkle pure gangajal and in response to her obnoxious behavior Virat has progressed from "Bass" to "Behave" . However I am so happy to see Sai retorting with saccharine sweetness, yet making it obvious that she sees through pp's intentions. She did it twice- once in this scene and also in the puja scene where Pp was trying to bulldoze her way even into doing puja- both times Sai killed her with kindness. I like this meethi churi version of Sai as much as the teekhi churi. Virat's smile after Sai got pp to leave n their khusur pusur while pp was watching- yeh rishta kya kehlata hai was very cute. I loved it. Wanna see more of such behavior by Sairat when pp barges in unannounced n uninvited.
8. Virat setting the room for Sai was very cute. I love that exchange of rani sahiba and ghulam. And they had some cute moments with Ashwini too. Virat claimed he apologized for locking Sai up bit he didnt- but today he did. So finally apology milgaya.
9. The Sai-Samrat hug n moment was SO sweet. All ♥️. They give such a beautiful sibling vibe. Honestly Sai-Sam have a chemistry that jeeva-shiva dont.
10. One of my absolute fav bits today were the moment of Virat staring at a sleeping Sai n noticing the LOC of pillows on the bed and wondering if its coz she missed him too followed by the Ashwini convo with virat n Sai. Especially with Virat. Aai got him to confess he misses her n loves her and also in a very aai-like way explained that Sai is deliberately keeping herself away because she feels like he hasn't moved on...i wish Virat would speak with the clarity and honesty that he did to aai with Sai too. But Virat is so fickle. He either wants to rush Sai into this love thing or he wants to push her away. But aai is making him see that he needs to be patient and build a relationship, nourish it with love, trust and importantly respect. As she takes her time to actually see and be convinced that he is not bound to pp and he genuinely wants to be her husband, then she will stop holding herself back n be able to reciprocate the love. Ashwini has wisely asked virat to show patience and work on building a strong foundation of friendship n transparency of their relationship. The only pearl of wissom missing was that she forgot to mention that a 3rd person should never be allowed to destroy/malign the sacred space of a husband-wife.
11. Ashwini's moment as she hugs Virat but says how in all these years of marriage she couldn't find either a husband or a friend in his father- that was a heartbreaking moment. It was so emotional.
11b. Sai dreaming of Virat in bed teasing her is also really great. They both miss each other SO much.
12. I love that moment where Aai is singing a marathi lori for Sai as she lies with ber head on her lap. Its so sweet. N the way she haq seh asks for sabudana khichdi. Such a beautiful moment. And as Aai points out to Sai- Virat is now Sai's modak n Sai loves modak! 😍😍😍😍😍
13. Theres a nice moment of Virat being made to do utthak baithak 10 baar as punishment by devi-Sai.
14. In the breakfast table drama that turned ugly, Omi /Sonali created a lot of tamasha but in the process omkar dropped a truth bomb on ninad about how he has never cared for his wife. He has only repeatedly done beizzati of his wife instead of standing by her. And Ninads silence in response only proved omi right and it was Ashwini who left the table- heartbroken and insulted. Sirf formality ke liye bhi ninad didnt stop omi from attacking his almost 30 something years marriage.
15. The honest conversation of Aai- Sai is another heartbeaking moment. What a beautiful bond it is, where they can literally talk about anything. Sai-aai in that conversation were so honest, heartfelt and transparent. They spoke like friends. Sai was there to just get ashwini to spill her hearts peeda....to just let out her pain. She got her to express what has been obvious but yet gone unaddressed by everyone in the family. No one cared to ever sit them down and ask them to give their marriage a real chance instead of fulfilling a farce. The mukhiya BK, the sister MB, the brother omi all ignored it....baaki sab ki toh shaayad umar/aukaat ke baahar thi to get involved in this.
As Virat confesses to Sai later- he saw things growing up but didnt dare to question it like Sai does who speaks whats on her mind. I understand Virats hesitancy to speak about something like this with his own parents...but Sai is different. Taang adaati hai but uski neeyat itni saaf hai ki eventually that makes things fall in place. Although this is years of bitterness n angst- cant be solved by a single anniversary celebration and emotional dialogue baazi. But they have opred for a narrative of making it seem like ninad-ashwini did have love but lost their way rather than make it seem like ninad was always an a****le .
Personally i think ashwini should divorce ninad and truly move on, get wings to fulfil her dreams and not be tied down with a man like ninad. But we are going to get emotional reconciliation so lets get ready.
Virat for the first time tried to tell ninad to be respectful towards his wife but was brutally shot down. To be fair, Virat has picked the worst timing to play peacemaker for his parents. 🙈 And obviously this is enough for Virat to back off until the Sai train chugs on with no care for any red signals also! 🙈😅
16. There was a brief moment today where Shivani said a line which will play out in future- about having lost her Mr Romantic/Mr Special....this will be a future plot point to be copied from KD even though in KD it was another sister. Par ghkkpm mein voh Koli ka character hi nahi hai. So Shivani is 2 in 1.
17. Finally we have the Sairat convo about planning marriage anniversary for Ashwini-ninad. Virat is hesitant but Sai is trying to channel her eternal optimism n her will to fix things onto him. I really wish Sai had apologized for her rude behavior in their own anniversary since Virat brought it up...i understand her reasons but I think having her say -"sorry for hurting your feelings even though I don't see the point of celebrating a deal wedding" would have been good.
18. And theres a callback of chipkali which gives us an almost hug moment. 😍😍😍
19..Episode ends with a truth bomb from Sai about a third person in a relationship. Virat understood that there was also a reference to him-pp in that sentence which was said about ninad-ashwini. And Sai has clearly said - YES, i am referring to pp. If after such a direct comment from Sai and all the wisdom of Aai- if Virat doesn't wear his smarty pants then god help him!
Things I find hard to digest is this new version of BK
Bk coming to Sais room, that hug, the literal chashni out of her mouth. The way shes suddenly become all mother bear with regard to Sai. She refers to Sai as bacchi and bala instead of jungli mulgi. It seems like she was struck by lightning and the wiring of her brain was rearranged.
And as much as I loved the Sairat moments, screen space that too without PP interference, I have a feeling that this word "friendship" has been repeated a tad much. But I'll take it over vahini being bff any day.
Precap for next week has Sairat in car, Virat calling Sai with "emergency", Sais panic. We know its a prank/fake emergency but lets see what it is....
