I doubt it because engagement ceremonies aren't really an Islamic celebration, more so a cultural aspect the same way mehndi and sangeets are.

Masin, I've seen guys being flexible with it. Ladkiyo ka fixed hota hain but the guys I've seen wear it mostly on their right ring fingers, a few wear it on their left. Kya tum BW se reference le rahi ho behen everything's hella confusing there
