I might come across contradicting my own opinion from my posts. But this is what I feel about the Virat character.

Virat having residue emotional attachment and ehsas for Pakhi at the same time saying he is using Pakhi.

He does save her all the time by not outing her true intentions to the family. So i seriously don’t know what that feeling is 😒 so ended up calling residual ehsas of yoga love.

But again I feel he did that not just for Pakhi to save his ass as well.

Imagine if the cafe and wadha kand comes out.

I get confused when it comes to him feeling connected to Pakhi or not...But I do see that he also wants Pakhi's truth to be not out because it tampers his image... He has always ridiculed Sai in private or public every time she spoke about his relationship with Pakhi..He let his family torture her, Patralekha torture her, when she spoke about the truth a day after they were discussing their pious waada... His image is very important to him..His image of a righteous man, his image of a responsible man... and now his image of Sai's husband and only family.

There is some weird ass connection that he maintains with Pakhi.

But all is actions comes from his own selfishness. I mean he is the first priority at least regarding the Pakhi kaand.

He doesn’t want to loose the moral high ground. And doesn’t want to be called out on the deal marriage and Pakhi angle he spoke to Sai during their wedding.

I agree with all these points, have tried reasoning his behaviour on similar points, however, he tends to tread that line of morality many times which he shouldn't.

Vaada was embarassing, highly immoral to keep your bhabhi in your heart and promising her not to marry. What if he actually did not marry Sai, would Samrat ever trust him? It was impulsive but what did that actually mean. If he had not married to Sai, Chavan Niwasis would have pressurised him to do so after Samrat... How would he have refused them? What would he say? Would kaku allow him to do so, accept his reasons?

Tbh the wadha was a bakwaas one and he didn’t think much in that emotional state I felt. He wanted to be the mahan who sacrificed his love for his brother. The brother who saved his life in childhood. This is what I called god complex or saviour complex in a bad way.

For him it was going to be an emotional ema. I feel he was aware of it. Else he wouldn’t have called Pakhi to his wedding in GC to explain the circumstances of his marriage to Sai. Nor would he have told Sai that he can never be a husband to her.

To answer if not sai what would have happened? He would have married for his family sake. I would think his wife would be a Ashwini version2 and Pakhi will be kaku in Virat’s life.

She would just be a zamindari? And he has got someone else in his heart 🙄 having said that virat wouldn’t have gone for a ema like Pakhi wanted. See his problem is only when Pakhi is questioned about her relation with Virat, for him it is like people questioning him. So he will do whatever it takes to shut the other person up. He must know that by doing so, he is covering for her. He is not that dumb. If he tells the truth about Pakhi, that will lead to people questioning him only. He wants to avoid Pakhi being linked to him, but him defending Pakhi so many times in past, Sai thinks otherwise.

The person who says he thinks 10 times before saying anything, he probably thinks the same thing 10 times, not its consequences. He thinks if i change, the world should change with me. If it doesn't, he is like why do people not understand that I changed and its time they also change.
