At least Neil recognised that Virat is much more flawed than Sai. I think this is a different perspective than was previously put forward. Shows he has a good understanding of how the characters have developed and progressed.

Not sure if he genuinely understands or he is simply saying it to placate fans since he know how much backlash virat is getting . Also i hope this "flawed"comment doesnt generalize to pp. I cant stand it when ayesha or the rest of the cast/crew are roped in to justify pp character because she is a separate category of villain. Theres villain and then theres pp who basically is just filth, scum. Only disgusting, despicable are adjectives for this character.
There is a difference between being flawed and being abusive.
What virat is straight abusive ,no excuse for that.
So Neil can say anything to cover that ,it does not change the fact that Virat is a abusive criminal.
Why would Neil or any actor for that matter make statements that go against production house narrative. They have their contracts signed.
All I gotta say is that there is a huge difference between being flawed and being abusive in the name of hurt. Just because one is hurt doesn't mean you go around hurting others. Justifying Virat's abuse as beautiful flaws won't make it any less abusive! Any sane person would be able to clearly differentiate between the two! 😒
This statement at this point is controversial... Reminds me of Aishwarya's 'Pakhi is a dignified woman' statement...

Totally agree with you. Actors are just doing and saying what they're asked to do by their employers aka the creatives.
He has been speaking it for a while now, whenever there is a track where Virat turns abusive and Pakhi becomes vile , using the word FLAW.
How so ever there is a lot of difference between being flawed, being abusive and being vile. Sai is flawed, Virat abusive and Pakhi vile.
In any case, he has used "more flawed" for the first time, considering the backlash he got.. All this while he has been putting Pakhi, Virat and Sai in the same bracket. For a change , he at least said he is "more flawed". Even though being flawed is human, being abusive is not.

He also used the same words for the show.🤪

Neil might agree or disagree with what is being shown in the show but he has been given a brief what his character when he signed the contract. Why would he use the word 'abuse'? We all don't want Sai to go to Chavan Nivas. If she is interviewed, she will may not justify because that's the narrative - whether Ayesha agrees or not.
Interview wise, I thought it was a boring interview. He has not said anything new but the headline is good. It evoked reactions - good or bad. That's a good job in itself.
