I think its a miss on the director's part.. Neil anyway must be too confused since his character makes no sense right now, to bring that part.

The possessiveness was cute till the point it looked like reluctance to accept his feelings for her or disability to express his emotions for her. The Lunch/Alta episodes were not cute, he pushed whatever he did as a husband without giving his wife rights of being a wife but stood expecting her to behave in a way he felt was right because of everything he was doing for her.

The possessive streak on display right now is toxic and disturbing for himself and her as individuals & collectively for them as a couple.

Possessiveness is a very grey feeling. It can range from a father being possessive of his daughter to a toxic lover's possessiveness. Virat's possessiveness, I feel stems out of his vaccum for power. Position. He's a middle child of a middle child in a very large family. His mother had no real position and his father, well, we know.

Samrat being the eldest son would have wielded some power. Mohit was the youngest and Devi was the only daughter. Pretty cemented power positions. Virat on the other hand was in the middle with no real essential position. His infatuation Pakhi became Samrat's wife.

Enter Sai. The orphan. He was her link to his family. He suddenly had a very important position, a responsibility. It's like a child being handed over a toy for the first time. Possessiveness. The child would build it, he would also break it.

Sai was Virat's alone. Virat was the only legal relationship in her life. He had a right in every one of her affairs. He helped in building herself and when she went against him, unconsciously in his desire to repair her, he broke Sai. Just like a child would dismantle his/her toy trying to repair it.

I'm not whitewashing him. As a law student this is my job. We look for reasons behind the behaviour so we can save our accused or get our victims, their justice.

Well I somewhat agree with this analysis ...it does sound like a good glimpse into Vir.

Somehow this is one ML i can't find having one relationship he is totally true to

The last part is something I believe is totally right 🙏 not just in this serial but in real life.

As adults some of them may feel stiffled with no space.

It shows lack of trust and respect atleast for me
