This was one such episode where everyone was wrong and everyone was right.
Honestly, loved how Anokhi replied back to Devi and asked her not to drag her in between whatever was between her and Aastha but its surprising she does not take her own advise and keeps pestering Shaurya. Looking at Anokhi's attitude Devi clearly understands that she can potentially raise questions withing Shaurya regarding his mother and she can see the pull Shaurya feels towards her which even Shaurya has not realized. Devi is extremely insecure and borderline obsessive right now. She is the reason Shaurya pulls away from her.
Shaurya was already extremely agitated because of Anokhi and Aastha added to his anger. This scene was so well done in terms of acting and execution by both Deepa and KV. You slightly feel bad for Aastha, she decided that having a complete family over being with a single parent would benefit Shaurya. Maybe she did not think Saberwals would block her away from her son so vehemently and she refused to take legal action because she thought it would break Shaan to be away from his son. (Well, its selfless yet foolish! and Shaan turned out to be an absent father!) I think Aastha in her adamant thought process did not foresee the consequences. She optimistically thought that one day Shaurya would magically understand? Just because she was his mother by blood, everything would be hunky- dory? I felt bad for her and the idealistic optimism she carried for her son.
In his confrontation with Aastha, you can see Shaurya desperately trying to control his rage. Asking her to leave him alone because he know if he blows up, it will hurt her. I dont blame him for not believing her as Devi has conditioned him too deeply. Honesltly, i know he was angry but he was too harsh after a point of time. He could see she was in pain and yet he continued to vent. He was not wrong but he was not right! He could have chosen to walk away but he chose to scream. The words he said were thoughtless, harsh and piercing. I think he already regretted them in his car.
Anokhi consoling Aastha makes me think these 2 women are so alike (but time will tell us they are not)
At the Saberwal house, shaurya is angry. The way he is angry makes me think that everyone in that house is used to his anger tantrums and encourages him. After the phonecall what Shaan said to sahurya was again wrong ( as they both are horrible parents and here takes his side) and right ( shaurya would never forgive himself if anything were to happen to aastha)
The hospital confrontation annoyed me. Aastha is missing and ahokhi is preaching to Shaurya. The gyaan was so unnecessary. I understand what AAstha is to anokhi but why waste time then? Her threat to Shaurya showed how fearless and foolish she is!
Side Note 1 : The way Shaurya threw that glass..dayumn! and Kv's voice was shaking during his confrontation with Khalid. I think he was actually screaming.
Side note 2 : Anokhi holds shaurya's hand and pulls him back to show him the mirror outside the hospital. I think this is why he fell in love!
Side note 3 : Notice how in these episodes its Anokhi who Agitates Shaurya and then guilt trips him for his actions that are a result of her pestering. she is yet to learn a lot about human emotions
This episode makes me feel like I have been in the dryer and was tumbled around, I feel all wrung out.
Anokhi is the most well behaved and respectful when putting senior people in their place. Shaurya does not form part of this group.
Devi is losing her aapaa as she has realised that Shaurya and Anokhi are way too close for comfort as student-prof. She is afraid to lose her identity as mother to Shaurya..
Aastha was wrong in coming to SIAC, given that Shaurya warned her in hospital and Shaan also warned her.
Shaurya having just been given some telling off from anokhi, albeit not too harshly, is enraged on seeing Aastha playing at mother. He tries everything to avoid the confrontation because he knows he will lose his cool. He begs her, but she is stubborn and has chosen this day to tell him her story. How selfish of her to expect him to believe her.
Why does she try to hug him? I felt uncomfortable for Shaurya and I believe this made him snap.
Telling Aastha he does not care whether she lives or dies is his way of lashing out at her. I believe he regretted it immediately, but it was too late.
The first seed of doubt has been planted in Shaurya's mind because both Shaan and aastha told him that Aastha did not leave. Let us see how this affects his relationship with Devi...
At home, the laadlaa is being pacified but the mere mention of aastha his mother he becomes violent, almost going for Shaan's throat.
Now Shaan, from what angle does he believe is aastha Shaurya's mother. Ok she gave birth but does that make her his mother?Knowing that aastha has disappeared freaks out Shaurya, he tries to hide it but cannot. His eyes says everything.
Now back to anokhi, warning Shaurya that she will not let him go unpunished if anything happens to Aastha. It was necessary for Shaurya to realise that you cannot go about saying anything to anyone. But he has not learnt his lesson because he will repeat himself with Anokhi next (the library).
Anokhi holding Shaurya's hand makes him self conscious but he does not shrug it or push it away, which intrigued me....Need to reflect on this...
Next... AHir...enters the small circle displacing Shaurya and we see the waves coming until the psunami in the library.đ
Anokhi holding Shaurya's hand makes him self conscious but he does not shrug it or push it away, which intrigued me....Need to reflect on this...
It is a very subtle yet beautiful scene right?
I loved the sense of belonging it portrayed..
Wah Anokhi wah!! I admire this girl for taking a stand for herself while respectfully showing BM her place. BM has realised that Anokhi is another Astha so has her hands full. What might be Anokhi thinking when she told Bm to convey the message herself but didn't do the same with ss? Did she think that Astha mam might be affected to hear those awful things from her son and Bm is not important for Astha so shouldn't make a difference, which is true thoygh.
So today was the day aastha waited for to reveal the truth? Unfortunately so..he wasn't in the right frame of mind :all perturbed owing to the recent happenings. He could only think of what he lost because of Astha.. his dad too..this along with Bm's conditioning pushed the situation so far that this was a point of no return for him. He tried his best to make her leave before he would lose his cool but it turned out otherwise because of the hug..
His dilemma... Though her words echoed through the journey, and he regretted his eords, the protective shield that Bm put on him didn't allow the words to reach his heart. His heart is only filled with ehsaan for Bm and he can't hurt BM so kept quiet and didn't reveal the actual conversation in front of the family.
I felt bad for Astha even though she is the one at fault for abandoning a 4 year old. She held on to the hope that her grown up son would be in a situation to understand his mother but Shaan spoilt it all by neglecting him and Bm in her own evil way.
Where was this Shaan who took stand for Astha and called out Shaurya today. No wonder Ss hates Astha so much. Ss truly believes that his dad is a puppet but the irony is Shaan is expressing his own thoughts and not Asthaâs.
What was that even? Stop your professor by his hand? And warn him? And say that he will have to face her wrath? It definitely left him shocked.. this attitude of hers made him completely open up if not in front of her but he started feeling the real person in him. It was the first time someone fought with him, argued with him and reasoned. All his life it was only a yes for whatever he said so here starts the real journey for him.
Disclaimer: I'm on Shaurya's side! Currently Shastha is wrong and Anokhi is wrong! I say this because this is about to sound like a rant.
The Aastha and Shaurya coversation, then his conversation with Shaan, and lastly his conversation with Anokhi is all maddening. All three of them scolded Shaurya for not understanding and blamed him. None of them empathized with him; not in words or actions.
Why does Aastha believe she has any credibility to show up 25 years later with her story of majboori? She feels wronged and says she got cast out by the family. She did try to come to SH on his birthdays with cake(why not other days?). She didn't want him to lose 5 relationships for her one relationship. She felt Shaan would break without Shaurya. She hugs him without consent, wallowing in her emotions. I was so frustrated watching the scene. Shaurya did ask her to leave politely because he knew he was at his wits' end. Shaurya is rightfully bitter that when his mom left, he lost his dad as well. He rightfully sees a stranger trying to turn him against the only family he has. Aastha cared about Shaan breaking but didn't care that her decision would destroy Shaurya. He snaps with "tum jiyo ya tum maro, I don't care". Aastha is fully delusional to think that whatever her reasons would be, Shaurya would forgive her and love her. This is why the mother/son reunion was too quick for me. But Deepa's acting is fantastic in all these scenes!!
An angry Shaurya is who Shaan runs into at SH. He's bubbling with anger, a bomb about to go off. Devi also adds fuel to the fire. Instead of pacifying the child, Shaan also scolds him. "Wo teri Ma hai" "She's not my mother". I love KV's acting in this scene and how his voice dies out as Shaurya says "Aaj kyu aayi hai woh" like a broken child. When Shaan learns that Aastha is missing, he takes the opportunity to lay on the guilt "Zindagi bhar main tumhe maaf nahi karoonga, na tum apne aapko maaf karpaoge"
A broken Shaurya is who Anokhi runs into at the police station. Why does Anokhi term Shaurya yelling at his mother as "beizzati"? If that's the case, then what is someone abandoning their 4 year old termed as? Anokhi feels some sort of haq because she voluntarily held him back and they both started spitting fire. I don't like Anokhi's threat. I know there are cases where there's validity to the claim that someone pushed someone else to suicide. To me it's odd that if one person makes a personal decision to go missing or commit suicide, there has to be someone to blame and punish. "Mere Aastha ma'am ke aage, mujhe aur kisi bhi cheez se koyi farak nahi padta". I think this is the fire that Shaurya fell for. Anokhi can be annoying AF, but she's willing to fall into a fire pit to stand up for someone else. That righteousness and selflessness is unique.
My main gripe with Aastha, Anokhi, and Shaan is that no one is trying to understand that Shaurya's 4 year old world came crashing down due to the decision of the adults around him. The adults all had a choice; he never got a choice but he's the innocent victim that paid the highest price.
Side note:
~ Devi thought Aastha was bad, but Anokhi is a firebrand. Devi was rightfully scared of what Anokhi's presence would bring. I loved when Anokhi said "woh aapse jhoot nahi bolenge na?" thinking of the dancing lie. Devi heard it and probably remembered the visiting Aastha in the hospital lie.

Ahem.. *cough.. gulp okayđ letâs get started!!The Aastha and Shaurya coversation, then his conversation with Shaan, and lastly his conversation with Anokhi is all maddening. Shaastha definitely are to blame here, more like responsible for Why Shaurya is the way he is. đ¤ˇââď¸đ
Both of them were so consumed with their own situations, that they conveniently forgot being parents to a child.

I remember the first time I saw the episode, my heart ached so badly for Aastha. Deepa ji like you pointed was great in these âcryingâ scenes, itâs heart wrenching. I was so mad at Shaurya for not giving her a chance to explain herself and saying the infamous Jiyo ya maro dialogue. I remember rewinding and watching that scene many times because I was very impressed with both KV and Deep Maâamâs acting . But then, as I rewatched, it came to me..The first time when they had a decent conversation at Kapurthala , when SS saw his Nanaji, I found Aastha so cold and unnecessarily blunt. This happened again during the admission process where she conveniently ignored him after the whole scene. I never really understood why she had to be upset with Shaurya when it should be the other way round!? But despite her being an unfeeling mother, I think something changed in her, after the Raja incident . Perhaps she was afraid to take her bad past to her grave after getting out of the coma. It was only then that she tried to honestly explain herself to him. Her reasons to leave him though were so weak. I wish they showed a stronger reason ( TejVi threatening her with a lawsuit / emotional blackmail? đ Also we didnât get why TejVi wanted to have Shaurya for themselves in the first place.đ¤ˇââď¸ I was hoping for a cliched dhamakedar reason of property/ inheritance rights of some sort which never happened đ I digress, back to Shaurya- Aastha, I sympathize and understand Shaurya now but at the time I wished he understood the time, place and circumstances to vent out his frustrations.Such a classic Shaurya move and I was legit mad at him đđ¤Ş

This scene was probably the few living room dhoom tanana scenes that we got in the pre-wedding track. đ
But still it didnât feel even close to the cringeworthy fare that we are served in so many other ITV shows. The dialogues and acting were top-notch and nothing felt forced or unnecessary.

Bwahahahahaha.. I rejoice because this is where Anokhiâs Aastha Maâam jaap starts to hit the crescendo đ𤪠if Shaurya deserved a lecture from anybody , it was only from Anokhi. Our dear ignorant patakha
didnât hesitate to give him a piece of her mind . How can one NOT fall for her!?đMy main gripe with Aastha, Anokhi, and Shaan is that no one is trying to understand that Shaurya's 4 year old world came crashing down due to the decision of the adults around him. Anokhi should be spared from any blame as she didnât know of his past. But like I mentioned before , Shaastha
are solely to blame here. Shaurya felt used and discarded thanks to them. As much as I like Shaastha, I cannot like them as parents, until the reconciliation happened.Side note:

Anokhi -1, Devi -0 đđ¤Š
