No redemption is possible and planned for him, hence, all this soulmate wala dialogues to whitewash him.
Look, at this point, it comes across his thought process is that he is never ever wrong. He seems too full of himself. For him to feel guilty, Sai should be right... It doesn't matter that he is right or wrong because for himself he is always right. At this point, in his pov Sai is wrong... So no realisation at all.
First time he misbehaved with Sai in DIG track, he corrected his behaviour because Sai was right, she saved his job and he was wrong for wrongly accusing him
Second time, when Pakhi went to her house, sai was again right, he realised by Pakhi and her mom dad's behaviour when he went there, when they misbehaved with him too when he went to get her.
Third time, Aai guided him that he was wrong during hand-holding and that Sai is good... I wasn't convinced by Aai's or his Dialogues but whatever.
Fourth, during ousting, he had to get proof to know that Sai was right and him wrong all along, to realise his mistakes and redeem
Fifth, Character Assassination, again he justified by saying I got possessive... You didn't listen... Tried to prove her wrong but couldn't.
Now to she is wrong, insulted him, cancelled his transfer... His mistakes, if any, are less than Sai's in his eyes.
The bond between P-V is required to be shown by flashbacks, SaiRat ka kya hai... For him, P is holding more importance than Sai, hence getting flashbacks related to her...
I don't think all of this emotional intimacy is subconscious, doesn't seem so because he is ready to defend his actions always, in whatever state he is...
