She actually started with the Jingle Bells. That little clip was available on one of the fan pages on IG though it was not on Sony's YT or Sony Liv. She got Lataji's style perfectly in that Jingle Bells portion.

Yes….that was too mild, in fact. Consciously controlled my adjectives & adverbs here, 😀🤣, lest I offend any Sayli fans.

It isn’t that I didn’t like Sayli in Idol - I have mentioned this earlier too somewhere - for me, she is in the L E F category ( Listen-enjoy-Forget 🤨). She doesn’t have any recall value. Some of the numbers , if I associate with her, ( like Khatouba) is coz of repetitions not due to any Wow factor in terms of rendition. Amongst the finalists,she was the one who didn’t bag any contracts, apart from this HR song. Not surprising.

In fact she must be going thru FOMO now, hence the boyfriend is let out to grab eyeballs. No offence. May they stay happy. 🙏. But then was the Ashish angle a figment of our imagination?? 🤔🤔.

Re. Bold 1: consistent with the view that she is an attention seeker.

Re. Bold 2: channel never encouraged that story explicitly. Now seeing how over friendly and overzealous she always seems to be, maybe that's what it was all along.

About Sayli : yes, I seem to remember reading this - what you have said above about L E F. I agree.

That was criminal, the way they treated her. My wife and I always used to discuss how admirable it is for her to keep giving her 110% every week even after continuously seeing her songs being edited out from the final version. Hats off to her for that.
