I remember the scene when shaurya and Aastha reconciled their differences...what a scene..I know it was rushed..but that hug...it looked like a 4 year old child hugging his mother.

One of the reasons I stuck to the show was that I really liked KV's acting. Weird thing to say but both kv and deba 'cry' very well. It looks natural and painful.

Very true! I like that most of the cast has strong acting chops. Apart from the storyline, that’s a big plus for the show, the viewers and for the actors themselves. I liked KV’s acting more when he was the stiff Shaurya, 😁 that must be a tough act cause we got only a few glimpses of him every smiling or being joyful. Shaurya-in-love had many shades of KV.Also with time, as he got comfortable , we notice that he improvised a lot more. My main pet peeve with his acting has been his dialogue delivery,it’s sometimes incoherent or hard to understand 😄 Deba just grew so much as an actor from the first episode to the last.

Shaurya is like a drowning person, he is battling the waves, grasping for love from his birth parents who have ignored him. When he thinks about it, he is enraged, but when his heart is involved he is overwhelmed. He does not know what he should do to feel needed. But at the same time he does not want to feel like that hence his anger and rudeness.

So well put. This. Exactly this!!!!

True that, sometimes he would go too fast and eat words!

When he fell in love, I loved the scenes where he was at discomfort because of his feelings. Like the car scene...And his small confessions like the holi one, the goa one...i loved. KV gets this gentle smile on his face and his baritone comes down...

Yes both of them are too good in emotional scene. Just recently when Anokhi saw Aastha in hospital just after the latter was shot, she was bang on with her reaction to seeing Aastha like that.

And KV indeed is a master of nuances...in expression.

I also noticed that sometimes KV gets his words all jumbled but he is so cute then. I like kharoos KV falling in love and his discomfort/jealousy, but I also loved husband Shaurya and his romancing...

Anokhi looked like a lost child trying to figure out what was happening around her when Shaan came with flowers and books. I felt she looked cute and innocent. Have to agree shanoor have a great chemistry. Anokhi being herself doesn’t hesitate to ask about their relationship. I wonder why Astha doesn’t want to reveal. Does she think that Anokhi owing to her nature might cause more harm than good by involving herself.

Looking at the Sabherwal scene Alok looks like the easiest person to deal with. Did Shaurya not feel weird that two adults who are supposedly free to act at their own will were being interrogated like criminals by BM and Tej? Looking at how BM and Tej are scared of people favouring Astha, it feels like it’s not just losing Shaurya they are worried about and ther’s more to it. Somehow I always felt so.

Few points where I completely agree with Astha.., along with giving love and support BM induced hatred towards Astha in Shaurya, and how BM loves controlling people. Rest it’s all a result of how they wanted the story to develop… so we can find a few of her points not really convincing but it was to develop future story.

Shaurya didn’t want to hurt his BM by revealing about his visit. And BM more than feeling bad that he lied she is worried about the reason(person) because of whom he lied? Shows her insecurity …if her love for Ss was unconditional she wouldn’t have been scared of losing Shaurya as love never separates people. It’s her selfishness that she feels he shouldn’t like Astha.

Tej… I don’t know if anyone felt so but Sabherwal men only answer their mother? What a primitive thought! Are others not humans? May be it wasn’t intended that way but I felt so as I never get good vibes seeing or hearing such people.

This scene is one of my most favourite scenes and have watched it countless times and still in awe of kv’s performance and the scene as a whole.

Shaurya’s hesitation outweighed his new fear of not being able to see his mother if something untoward happens as the hope that Gayatri instilled in him forced his steps unknowingly towards Astha.

As he approaches he recollects his beautiful childhood memories with his parents and is sad to see her lying inThe hospital bed. The scenes are juxtaposed and this brings in an additional effect to add to his inner turmoil.

He is shocked at how Gayatri’s words that Astha might recover seeing him have come true. For a person who believed all his life that his presence never affected his mother, it was shocking to see that his tender touch sort of brought back life in her. A mother unconsciously lying in the bed felt her son’s presence should’ve made him realise atleast for the moment how precious he was for his mom. It looked as if he wanted to move closer and hug her when he saw her fingers move. But it was too difficult for him to let go of his in built feelings ( not exactly hatred at this moment, may be ego) to face her and be with her.

But these positive thoughts cannot survive in a sea of negativity that he is in( Sabherwal house). How I wished he realised Gayatri’s worth and shared his thoughts with Gayatri rather than BM in the future.

Rest I’ll continue later….,

That is quite an interesting perspective there. His own shock when he realized that his touch maybe woke up aastha. Yes, one thing we all can agree with is that he was too confused with his feelings to even try and hug/reach out to her.

Chunar is used beautifully in the scene. Especially the following part that hits at the heart.

"Jag se haara nahi main, Khud se haara hoon maa

Ek din chamkunga lekin, Tera sitara hoon maa

Mayi re..maayi re..Tere bin main to adhura raha

Mayi re..maayi re..Mujhse hi roothi meri parchhayi"

Shaurya gets so emotional seeing his unconscious and bed-ridden mother and remembering his childhood memories. The sequence is so emotional and the tear that falls surprises even him. I love that he held her hand....he initiated that connection! And in true ITV fashion, she reacts to it and gains consciousness. He runs away and continues to be tormented. With Devi, he always puts on the good boy façade and answers all of her questions, even though we can feel how stifled he is by her "love". I loved that Aastha was confident that Shaurya came to visit her even when Shaan tried to talk her out of it.

I loved that Gayatri and Kanchan are such a pure souls. Their interaction with Aastha was so precious. She gave the new bahu aashirwaad and a ring as shagun. It was such a short visit but I appreciate the sentiments behind it. I hate that it has repercussions for them, like they're prisoners in the SH.

Paalne wala > Janam dene wala. What about Cheen ne wala? I really enjoyed the war of words between Aastha and Devi. I just wish they didn't talk in circles so much. Aastha wanted to protect her son from a custody case but really left him in purgatory with the Sabherwals. I don't think it's fair to blame just Devi for the poison. We should blame Shaan as well for not providing an antidote. Devi is all about "maan.....maryada.....izzat" and Aastha rebuts with jhooti shaan and maryada being a cage and being glad that she left. Shaurya only caught the part where she picked her freedom over him.......way to add to his issues!

Side note:

~ Why are the villains always so good at detecting lies? Why was Devi surprised that Shaurya lied to her? He learned from the best!

~ Anokhi's line " Unhe rishton ke na qadar hai na samajh". She will realize how wrong she is about him! How deep he feels and how much he values his relationships!!

~ I loved the side-by-side of Anokhi and Shaurya as he walks out to the elevator! His swag and walk was in full force!

I fell in love with the song Chunar watching this episode. My heart bled for Shaurya. This poor boy could not control his emotion, the way he was trying to pinch his lips, that first tear rolling down his cheek, despite all his effort, the hesitant touch of his mother's hand and the song....💔💔💔💔

Jag se haaraa nahin mein

Khud se haaraa hu maa 😭

Whenever a child is in need, in pain, the mother is there to protect him,

These lines kill me. I loved that we both felt the same at those lyrics. And the acting!! Superb! The confusion, denial, pain, and yearning for that touch.

Maayi teri chunariyaa lehrayi...

I interpret this song where the chunar is the symbolism of a mother's protection for her child, it is his shield, his roof, everything.

Unfortunately, Shaurya never experienced it and this is eating him inside especially when he can observe Anokhi being the recipient of that protection.

We understand Shaurya's bitterness at being replaced. We get so many scenes that show how his emotions keep getting hurt.

Aastha coming out of her coma due to Shaurya's touch Initially it made me very emotional but when trying to understand the message from it, I was not that happy. Why? It is showing Aastha as the mother pining for her son and him being her saviour. Isn't that selfish on her part?

Her son is her reason to recover, but what about him? Is he her possession because she gave birth to him? I did not like this message. As if because she gave birth to him, he should be indebted to her?

Aastha's happiness while it made her look human and motherly grated on my nerves.

So I didn't interpret it this way. I thought it was very ITV for his touch to wake her up. Her reaction though seemed like a normal one. She thought she was hated by him but him showing up on his own volition shows that her son is 'bahar se sakth, andar se narm" and that's a salve on her wounded heart too.

Shaurya at home had to lie to BM about his visit what type of relationship do BM and Tej have with him that he cannot confide his feelings, has to lie. Definitely not parental or unconditional love from Tejvi. Shaurya is their trophy son whom they want to dictate his life. Good for Devi that she knows Shaurya does not trust her as a mother.

Anokhi is very sharp and recognises that there is something between Shaastha, but Aastha refuses to acknowledge it. Why? In what way Anokhi knowing this would change anything. There is no logic in this.

Totally agree. I didn't understand it either. My only guess is that once Anokhi found out, she became intrusive about the mother-son relationship, so maybe to avoid that.

Devi and the way she confronted Aastha in hospital is the cheapest act that can be shown. She has no respect for a sick person😡.

It is good that Aastha told her off, but her reasons for abandoning Shaurya to Devi does not stand especially knowing how the Sabherwals was. Aastha has a lot to answer for Shaurya's upbringing and miserable rich life. Shaurya is emotionally handicapped by the behaviour of Shaastha and Tejvi.

The end of the episode Shaurya questions Aastha why she has come back in his life. I see a Devi bhakti here questioning Aastha not Shaurya Sabherwal. At the end of the day, Devi has maimed Shaurya...

Ditto to all this. I've also seen this scene multiple times. He set aside his ego because he doesn't want regrets. He's a man of conscience. It's like he'd rather do the duty of a son without expectation, since his parents have both let him down. In the beginning we saw how he took care of Shaan always.
