Its definitely toxic at this stage. But growing in love, can make it work. At this point, both Sai and Virat need to understand each other more...otherwise they will fall back into the same pit again and again. With my personal experience and seeing all the married people, it does take years to make the marriage peaceful. I hope they show that progression with SaiRat, because the characters have potential to explore these dynamics.

What I feel is after Pakhi pregrancy crap, they can move away and just focus on how these two couples especially SaiRat handle the hurdles in their marriage, how they grow as couple. THERE IS SO MUCH THEY COULD SHOW.

I am talking about love that cares, like what Sai has for Virat or Virat has for Sai. Not Pakhi's, it is possession or obsession that only calls for destruction.

Pakhi does not love virat. Biggest proof is that how first she agreed to marry samrat because virat promised lifelong celibacy in pakhi's name, condemning himself to live without love, a spouse and offspring just to convince her. As her convo with her father after virat's vaada showed, it was all the more clear that she would rather live her life as virat's brother's wife if it meant she can still be around virat and if she doesn't see him moving on from her, showing complete selfishness on her part that she's willing to start a life with samrat only if virat sacrifices his own. Since when do you demand or expect sacrifices from people you love just for your own satisfaction?

And to top it off she's so furious seeing virat with sai and knowing he has fallen in love with sai, breaking his vaada to pakhi, that she's now trying to kick sai out of virat's life and make him alone as per what he promised her all under the garb of wanting to start a new life with her own husband just to hide her intentions of wanting to stay in virat's life.

Sorry to bring mythology here, just quoting it as reference. I find Sita in Ramayan leaving Ram in the end as a very brave step by a woman who is in love with her man! She knows he loves her, she knows why he sacrificed her, she knows she still has a chance with him, she can be his queen and be near her kids but she still kept her self respect ahead of her love for him and their children and the title. That is ultimate strength. She knows if she goes back, he will be obligated to prove her innocence everytime the doubts comes in people's mind. So by going away from him, she liberated herself and her husband (in a way). That is chosing peace over love.

Sita for me is a godess for this reason not because she went to forest along with her husband. To gain that strength shown by Sita ma, you need to suffer also that much.

PS: not comparing ITV characters to Gods and Godesses here, but I want to bring out the emotion why it is hard to leave your love...it is humanly impossible sometimes.

Thanks for bringing this up Sadiltl❤️. Yes Sita was very brave and we truly have such brave women in the society too but rarely does itv adapt such stories . How I truly wish Sai leaves him and he truly gets psychiatric help like before giving their marriage another chance. He is truly toxic and his behavior with everyone but Pakhi is appalling 👎🏼
