Totally, what has Devi Tai done for him to let P taunt her? P's actions for Tai have always been not so reliable & yet he lets her try to walk over his and his sister's conversation? Sometimes I read stuffs like had Virat not married Sai, Sai would've had to live with Jagtap. But it's like saying it's better cus Sai is currently atleast having less worse life by being Virat's wife which could've been far worse if Sai was married to Jagtap.

Virat was never asked to marry Sai by KJ, he just told her to look after Sai after he's gone. Virat simply could've taken her responsibility & arranged an apartment or hostel for Sai to live, given her money every month until she gets her scholarship & given her police protection of his force Jagtap and Vitthal Mane.

But Virat married Sai only out of his saviour complex just like he did the so-called sacrifice by marrying off the woman who loves him to his brother to repay him for saving his life in childhood.
