I can't believe it. Is it really true, what I saw? Is she really back as she promised? Or is it some sick game that the destiny has chosen to play with me? I was hunting in the jungle tonight, with my super senses I could hear some college kids going for rappelling. I suddenly heard a deadly feminine scream, I could hear her friends shouting her name "Pia" but nobody seemed to be anywhere close to saving her. I don't know what came on to me and why I did what I did but my feet just took me in the girl's direction on their own at their super speed and before I knew it, I was catching the falling girl in my arms. Her hair had fallen on her face as the air blew away her hair strands from her face, it was then that I saw her angelic face. The same face I had once fallen in love with and for whom I had once lost my life. The same face which has haunted me for 200 years. I could not believe my eyes to see my Maithili back again. The girl slowly opened her eyes which had been shut tight due to fear. As she opened her eyes, like any other human, she too was lost in my inhuman beauty. Her eyes were looking at me with same love and trust as they used to 200 years back. I was lost in a trance when her friends calling out her name brought me back to reality. She was not my Maithili, she was their Pia. Slowly I placed her down and ran away from there, before she could ask me any question.
