How is Virat’s transfer right?

I was brought back to reality or should I say that we were shown that there has been absolutely no change in the Chavans or their attitude towards Sai in the past few weeks. I am not sure if I should be happy about it or not but one good thing is it doesn’t look like they have been whitewashed but they all stayed true to their characters atleast.

If this is the reality, when Virat can see how much maan and sammaan his family has been giving to Sai, he decided to take a transfer and leave Sai with this bunch of people who taunt her, insult her and humiliate her?

Even after Virat has been watching how they keep taunting Sai in her presence or in her absence, how biased they, how much hatred they have for Sai, he is upset that his transfer got cancelled?

I really want to know how did he apply for his transfer in first place. Didn’t he take Sai’s responsibility and is this how he will fulfill it? I know that he has failed many times in the past too but I do not agree that the transfer was a well needed one for their problems to end. Leaving Sai with such people and him going away for his peace, to cool down, for their relationship to get a break doesn’t seem the right thing to do. Is it all about him and the relationship? If he needs a break, the girl also needs a break from the Chavan family. If he is hurt and he needs to stay away from Sai, doesn’t he have so much maturity to handle in a way that one should be by staying indifferent, by talking less with Sai, by avoiding confrontation or arguments with her staying in the same house? Why is his transfer necessary for him to cool down or from him to take a break? Can’t the same be handled graciously?

Hasn’t Sai been living in this house after everything she has been put through? His advice is not applicable to him when he said that she should take this as a challenge and win the love of his family members? Why couldn’t he win the love of Sai? Why couldn’t he stay back and win over his hurt or anger? Why couldn’t he stay back and act like a human even his feelings aren’t getting reciprocated? They all act inhuman with Sai, so much that they were getting pleasure looking at the girl’s burnt hands while grinding chilly and because she was getting late unable to attend her college and he expected that she wins the heart of such people but he cannot win the heart of a woman who speaks bitter, who has a harsh exterior but whose intentions has always been right and good, who is so compassionate?

I have really never appreciated marriage and especially this deal marriage as a solution that Virat gave for Sai’s issues at GC too. In this whole thing, the girl is in his house not for her act like his lover or his wife. That was not in picture at all in first place. He has had a change of heart doesn’t mean she needs to too. The only truth that remains is the word that he gave to the villagers that he will take the responsibility of his daughter, the waada that he gave to his mentor that he will take care or protect his daughter.

And that itself is getting lost by Virat not thinking before applying for transfer leaving her with a family who never leaves a chance to taunt or humiliate Sai. How did Virat even think that it is right for him to leave without once thinking about Sai’s state? I am totally against his transfer and it being a solution for their problem. If the girl should stay back without moving to hostel despite the family being so venomous, he should be staying back protecting her, fulfilling his responsibility even if she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. If he had got this transfer from his department and not by him applying for it, it is understandable that it is his work and duty, not when he himself applies for it.

Virat gets hurt and wants to move away since he is not able to handle it it, bear it but doesn’t think even once how hurt Sai will be listening to so many people’s taunts snd bitter words? If he thinks he is doing it for Sai, that is ridiculous. How did he even think that she will be okay with such people who spit venom on Sai and torture her day in and out? How did he think that his ex wouldn’t harass Sai? Hasn’t he been been noticing how she keeps attacking Sai all the time? He seems to be least interested about Sai’s protection, forget love or respect. The whole purpose of Sai’s responsibility and her protection for which he put her through his kind of marriage is lost. Why was the girl made to get into a deal marriage if he cannot even fulfill his promise? He himself couldn’t give her a peaceful environment, forget the family. He has been spitting venom on her, has been judging her, putting her down, taunting her, abusing her and harassing her. All that Kamal sir saw was one side of this man and he made a mistake of handing over his daughter’s responsibility to this guy. Virat says that Sai doesn’t deserve the love of her father, he is the one who doesn’t deserve Sai’s or her father’s love. He is such a selfish, self centred man who just cannot think beyond himself. He shouldn’t be using words like pakki zabaan, farz. He had long back failed his mentor and is still failing even after Sai gave him a chance after his behaviour during the Ajinkya’s issue.

Just my views. Anyway, I don’t accept or agree that him going on transfer was/is the right thing to do. I wish Sai had left this house the day the chilly kaand happened. Why is there so much of difference in expectations? She has to tolerate the torture but he needs a break from all these issues?

One thing I agree about is Sai couldn't have stayed at CN had Virat taken a transfer. Makes no sense to me. He ought have put her in a hostel and then taken a transfer himself. I think his intentions when he got married were honest. One thing I don't agree to all of you was she was forced to marry Virat. She could have refused. She had plenty of opportunity which she didn't take whatever the reason. So I am convinced that both of them came into this marriage knowing that its a deal. So I wont go there.

Things have now turned too ugly between them to even think of honouring his promise. So I feel transfer is justified because he wants a break from all thia and he wants a good career that he hasn't been able to concentrate on thus far. However him expecting Sai to stay at CN even after he has gone makes no sens. He can still remain her guardian and be responsible towards her till she becomes a doctor with her staying at the hostel.

I know my views are not so welcome here, but I still put in my views because I feel it's the most practical thing to do.

I have not said he forced her to marry but the truth is that she was made to go through this kind of marriage since he gave that as a solution. He should have either married her without any deal or not married her at all. Anyway, as you have said, let’s leave that topic.

Yes, his intentions at the time of marriage was honest but he has failed to fulfill the promises made to both Kamal and the villagers.

@bold exactly my problem. Also, it is not like he wants to concentrate on his career. He did it only because he because he is not able to stay with Sai, because she is unable to understand his feelings for her. Had Sai said that she had got his transfer cancelled because she doesn’t want him to go, he would have stayed back happily. So, the reason was not because he wanted to focus on his career.

You are welcome to share your views. I have always tried to read other’s POV too. As much posts that I have written for Sai, I have written for Virat too. I support/criticise the characters based on their actions. Have always tried to understand both the characters.

I am not sure, what opportunity did she exactly have when the villagers were not willing to take her responsibility? And just two days after a father's death she was in a condition to make decisions and grab opportunities...However old one is, when one loses someone they love, in this case, the only family ,are they even their sane mind to take decisions? By asking her to get married to Virat, the villagers clearly decided and also informed her they are not going to take her responsibility?

I have seen a situation when a young boy of 24 contemplated on getting married two days after his father's death because his mother was all alone... Just so that the ghar does not feel soona.. for the mother...Was he in the sane mind to even take a decision there? One is too overwhelmed emotionally to even think sanely... forget about making decisions..

Initial days of their marriage Sai tried to be cordial with him.. Very formal as a deal partner would.. Only thing she didn't allow Pakhi any time in their room and rightly so..They may not be in a conjugal relationship but still they have a space of their own..

It was kind of Virat let her interfere in his life.. In one episode Sai was quietly studying ignoring him but he would still yell at her for NOT giving any attention to him..He used to get angry if Sai didn't wait for him till diner.. He has given the right of a wife but was never honest from his end..

Today also he repeated the same thing..Pakhi is just a tool to hurt her.. Just an object.. He got angry because Sai didn't give two hoots to his cullinery skills and left the pooja.. He wanted Sai's reaction and also quietly listen all these.. What a male chauvinist 🤢

This man has NO control over his emotions when it's comes to Sai ..he even manhandled pp on Sai's birthday because Sai got hurt..

Virat currently is NOT thinking about Sai's misery.. He is too self consumed.. He doesnt bother about how Sai would be treated in CN.EVERY single day he is hitting lowest to the lowest..

Virat isn't even taking transfer for career aspirations like it's being made out to be. It's shown clearly, he's himself mentioned why he's taking transfer cos Sai spoilt his marriage anniversary celebration plan & his male ego got bruised very badly. What else.

@laksh: Good question.

In my view, after the return of Samrat (more like dragon) it was made clear that from the beginning, the voice of Samrat was more valued than Virat. This is the same reason why Pakhi is given more care and concern. Maybe Samrat's father only gave all the wealth and Kaku's husband took care of Samrat after his death.

Coming to the point, Virat can't make any decision in the house like before and even Samrat's support for Sai is a hurdle for him. So he wants to take transfer. Now, why he wants Sai to be in CN? He needs atleast one person to control and rule. If she moves out of CN, he will lose the grip. He wants continuous monitor of Sai even when he is not in CN. Thats why he said only he can contact and not the other way.

If Virat was not really ready to marry Sai, he could have told village people that he was committed in life and can consider Sai as his sister. There won't be any problem (of course no story). Not to forget, it was Sai who asked about Pakhi and not him disclosing during her request to stop marriage.

Well no point in highlighting ML faults, only result your thread will be closed.

@bold True. Not sure about the wealth part but it could be true.

I am not sure and don’t think Virat wants to leave because he can’t make any decision after Samrat returned.

Yes, Virat need not have married Sai at all. He should have let the villagers know that he cannot marry her. Yes, he didn’t even remember to let Sai know about Pakhi until Sai asked about her.

@red: I meant that Virat is not in a position to deal with Samrat or Sai and to take a decision or involve in any family discussion with their presence. He wants to move away not only from Sai but also from Samrat (again multiple factors not just guilt part).

Well said laksh. Earlier I never felt he was egoistic but for the past few episodes it is clear he not only egoistic , he is an abuser like Ninand. Here are his rules for how his zimmedari and him caring for her works in his presence or in his absence

- Sai should quitely stand there and listen to all his bff taunts

- shouldn't answer back or it will be insulting to his bff

- she shouldn't question him on why he went out to meet her secretly or was holding her hands. Anything worse in future also she should just leave it and understand it's just bff's doing their bff job

- only his bff has respect, izzat in that house

- no one should support her in that house even if they taunt her in her presence or in her absence

- anyone from his criminal family can say/call her anything and she should just stay quite else she is over reacting

- she should continue doing her wifely duties while he goes around holding hands, having private talks with his bff while she shouldn't talk nor meet her friends

- anything his bff says is right but anything she says in return is a taunt and she needs to be reprimanded

All in all he is crazy and like Sai said he seriously needs to think about going for therapy else this is only going to get worse. The Virat Chavan they introduced was completely opposite to this current Virat Chavan. This one is pure evil, narcissist, mcp and egoistic. He basically lost the plot on why he married her and is torturing her day in and day out. KJ must be rolling in his grave seeing how his daughter is being treated by the one person who he trusted the most and handed of his daughter to him.
