I wouldn’t have brought this up unless you showed up with the most contrived meaning for Kanya.

Also a word in Sanskrit has multitudes of synonyms. As I said Kanya itself has 60+ synonyms. They are all used within the context of their usage.

There is a plant called Kanya also, what can I do about it if it exists and ppl call it Kanya? Meri kya galti bhai.
