Okay, 2 things

1. Loved Shaan - Shaurya face off today.

2. Shaurya's direction. The way he is directed in today's episodes. The scenes. WOW!

We start with the media. Sad to see that media always tries to sensationalize everything and its very evident here. Anokhi is scared and all they want to know are the details? Who? How and why not? Its hard to come out with the truth like that for the world to hear. And when she does say the truth, the same question, why did you not stop it? Seriously? We do not have victim sensitivity in India. Plus she was kind and smart enough to not give out names!

Aastha, always behind anokhi and with full concern. The only one who did not speak of izzat and actually thought about Anokhi.

Reaction to media part 2 today..the bhallas were sad to watch, the same old trope of not letting girls live their lives because the world is bad? till when? Devi starts with aastha again and tejlok start with badmouthing anokhi. I am surprised that shaurya does not believe her?!

Okay, Shaurya is confusing, he found her in that room and then believes that she is plotting this? He tells the world/media that she is not lying and yet feels she is just seeking attention? Is this bad editing or is shaurya crazy?

Shaan has saberwaal traits that came out when he spoke to anokhi today. He was more concerned with how the coming of media would make him look in front of his family. I loved how aastha set him right. How would the media presence change anything? Again, while he was rude with Anokhi and stated that he does not believe her, he supported her in front of the family. WHY? Just because aastha said so?

Off! the Shaurya - shaan faceoff was much needed. Loved how he put shaurya in his place with the right questions. Fine she is a liar but what has shaurya done to prove the same? The examples shaan quoted should have been covered on day 1 of the complain by the college itself. What even ?! I seriously fail to understand Shaurya's stand here. Also, loved that he took the right call in front of the media. the college was at fault.

It was nice to see other women stand up for anokhi and be with anokhi. Women need to support women.

Side note 1 : LOVED how the scene where shaurya steps out of the car was shot and even the end scene when he look at Anokhi. The music is so on point! the staircase, where they face off again and how she falls going after him...there will come a time he would run after her. Ah!

Important points to note in this episode.

Shaurya is an assh****. How can he even doubt Anokhi? The way he was saying that ok ragging happened but molestation is a serious charge and he cannot just believe her. He was the one who found her locked, what did he want to see, her torn dress, some physical marks? her having filmed the whole AA kissing so that she has proofs?

Shaurya is so convinced that Anokhi has called the paparazzi and Devi is convinced that Aastha gave her all the contacts. As Shaan often says, whatever the matter at hand at the end of the day, aastha would be blamed for it. the funny thing is that even the Bhalla men think the same when it comes to Anokhi and aastha.

Shaurya's anger was obvious, Tej was convinced he had done needful by warning the students, and then Anokhi is not happy and wants justice. SO when asked why she is not giving the names of those I would have expected her to say, she is waiting for the official action taken by SIAC and not ramble on about she does not want to make them 'badnaam and sharminda'.

What does she want then?

I found the way Shaan question the Sabherwal men very convincing in showing he is the only among the men to have a little bit of humanity in him. The points he raised concerning how they failed in their investigation was correct. It was obvious that they had decided that given our children are involved and Anokhi is nobody, we can just give a warning and Anokhi would be satisfied. Well looks like Anokhi is not!

The best part of the episode when all the Sabherwals gave the press conference and Alok treated the event as a pindu not understanding the high society language and Shaurya behaving like he is the self righteous man, Shaan comes along and burst their bubble and they are flabbergasted. Loved Shaurya's shock, he deserved that, for treating Anokhi as the punching bag for his mum's misdeed.

Ok I have vented out all my anger on Shaurya out, .....

Most important part, Makhan was Shaurya's bodyguard today, felt like singing, And i will always love youuuuu

Everyone had their own expert opinion when they saw Anokhi facing the media. Instead of sympathising with her they have everything to say against her which was expected. Babli, Astha and her mum obviously wanted her to speak out the truth so that media doesn’t make up stories.

Is this what Anokhi learnt from you? From Mr Bhalla was a rubbish statement. People like Bhalla can only blame women. Is it that children learn only from mothers? In his opinion do fathers have no responsibility for a child’s behaviour and does standing up for yourself make one an irresponsible person? Couldn’t expect better reaction from him.

And another wrong notion that a girl always needs support of a man(from Raja). He couldn’t support his sister but was all ready to show that she is weak without a man’s support. If he doesn’t remember it was Anokhi with two supposedly weak women’s support that she saved herself.

Anokhi…though faced with a new challenge of facing the media and being posed questions she wasn’t comfortable with showed immense strength by giving away what was necessary without breaking her promise to Shaan. What happened to Ss all of a sudden that he stopped believing Anokhi’s side of the story and was confident that she had nothing to say? His understanding gets clouded every time he hears Astha’s name? It’s not at all fair that he behaves this way and as there is no one to correct him so thinks he is right in whatever he does. There is no one to show him the mirror which Anokhi does later though.

Anyone in Shaan's position would obviously be mad a t Anokhi but his inner self somewhere believed Anokhi. His conversation with Astha and Anokhi though not pleasant Was enough to make him believe her. It wasn't that he didn't trust her but it was a momentary reaction to all that has happened. Though Shaurya was right in saying molestation is a serious allegation Shaan is on point when he said that no girl would like to take such a thing on herself. How the hell did Anokhi try to sensationalise anything at all? It was Shaurya who tried to blow everything out of proportion from day 1 just because she is Astha’s student. Shaurya though declares in front of the media that all students are equal, he did make every effort to make her feel different from other students( in a negative way though). Shaan did raise valid points by asking proof of everything Shaurya said. It is clearly evident that Ss is at loss of words as he was posed with questions he knew he didn’t have answers for.

I'm catching up...slowly but surely........like the tortoise 😆

The press got their story from Anokhi and the Sabherwals!

Anokhi admits to being ragged and molested. But of course the first questions is "why didn't you stop him?" As she explained it more in detail, all the media wanted were names and corroboration. Anokhi kept her promise to Shaan by not divulging the names. I'm glad Reema and Maya were there to show support. And props for Reema for admitting that ragging occurs at SIAC and school authorities have silenced people. That bursts Shaurya's bubble that ragging does not occur at his precious institution!

The Sabherwals tried to do damage control in front of the media by trying to spin the story. Alok tried to chalk it up to misunderstanding. Shaurya tried to be arrogant. Shaan is the only one who sounded credible and admitted that ragging occurred and Anokhi was locked in a classroom. He went so far as to admit that SIAC didn't properly investigate. Tej shut down conversation and protected the college.

Sabherwals Assemble! Tej was pissed that his minimal approach of warning students wasn't appreciated by Anokhi. How like a man to think that doing your job is applause worthy! Alok was in crisis control and only about demeaning Anokhi and Aastha. Shaan and Shaurya face off was overdue. Shaurya has been dismissive of Anokhi, as if he didn't first hand witness her condition. I loved that Shaan called him out "Kya saboot chahiye" They know Anokhi was ragged; Reema gave testimony. No girl alleges molestation for fun because that's a serious matter to associate your name with in society. Shaurya might believe Anokhi sensationalized things or that she's a liar, but as Shaan asks, "what have you done to prove her a liar?" "Have you talked to a peon? security? checked the cctv?". The Sabherwals didn't take the crime seriously until they were forced to by the press. And not because they care about the victim, but because it affects SIAC reputation.

Side notes:

~ It's sad how much of a Sabherwal Shaurya is. It made me sad that he dismissed the molestation claim so easily. He witnessed Anokhi's condition and still finds her not credible because his mind is clouded by Aastha hate.

~ This episode was high level Shaurya swag. From his intense look to his slow motion walk to his own background score.

~ I never realized that Priyanka congratulated Anokhi on being brave. Maybe that's where she found bravery to turn in Alok at the end.

~ The Bhallas and Bhatias represent overall Indian society. Mrs. Bhatia is concerned about being dragged into a case. Mr Bhalla is worried about reputation in front of others, and laying blame on Anokhi for wanting freedom. Raja thinks that no-one harassed Anokhi in Kapurthala because everyone knew her brother. But why does she need a man's protection to be safe? Why aren't women safe in society?

I had the same thoughts about Shaurya. How can he not believe her when he was there and saw her condition? But some of it is interpretation. He thinks that she's taking advantage of the situation. Not denying the ragging, but thinking she's trying to capitalize on it with a molestation charge. All of Anokhi's credibility goes out the window when Aastha is connected to her. Shaurya can't see or think straight about Anokhi's predicament because he's convinced that his mother is taking advantage of the situation to tarnish SIAC. So it's not about what he can prove right but who he can prove wrong. I like all these layers to Shaurya, especially knowing his character arc.

I sometimes get angry with him because he is judging Anokhi for his mother's fault. He is not a child but a man and should think well before acting.

Shaurya was indeed an ass. He wavers back and forth between self-righteous and self-centered. He has a moral compass, but it's very much centered around his pride, his SIAC, and his family! The Sabherwals and Bhallas are very much on the same wavelength, but only divided by their financial status. Because of their money the Sabherwals pretend to be perfect.

I was going to mention that Makkan was adorable protecting his Sirji!!

I'm sooooooooo glad Shaan put Shaurya in his place and knocked some sense into him!

Mr. Bhalla is a piece of work but very true to many men in society. They believe all the compliments come to the father and all the complaints to the mother. All the praise to the dad and all the blame to the mom.

Raja Bhalla is disgusting. He's just looking to be the big man. He thinks he's the reason Anokhi wasn't harassed in Kapurthala. Too bad when she needed his protection, he was worried more for his Canada visa!

I had the exact question........when has Anokhi ever sensationalized anything? First meeting was her admonishing him. The library meeting was asking for an admission. The admission saga was all Shaurya Sabherwal being stubborn. When has Anokhi ever been dramatic?
