Actresses whose potential fizzled out before careers even took off?

For me it's --

1. Disha Patani

2. Sara Ali Khan

I had high expectations from both the above but it seems they really don't have that desire to improve as actresses.

Janhvi I had no expectations from, so she kinda has lived upto my projection of her.

Fizzled in what sense ? The girls you mentioned still have some huge films their apart. The fizzles are the unemployed ones no ?

Tara sutaria. Janhvi really surprised me. She is no doubt a good actress.

They are overrated but they are here to stay as, unlike someone like Diana Penty or Nargis, they don’t have the right industry backup. They will be fine, don’t worry.

I think she was really good in Cocktail, as good as Deepika if not better.

Bhagyashree, Diana Penty, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Genelia. I feel Urmila was a wasted potential as well. Surprised why she did not make it despite perfect combination of looks, sex appeal and talent and hits like Rangeela.

Amisha Patel. Though I was never a fan and she was a pretty bad actress, she started off her career with a Blockbuster (KNPH) and ATBB (Gadar). Hamraz was a decent hit too iirc. She was also working with top actors like Hrithik etc. She was beautiful and there did have many fans too at the very early 2000s.

Oh how the hell did I miss out Amrita Rao?? She started off her career well with Ishq Vishq, which was a decent hit, and then managed to work with a megastar like SRK in her next year in one of the biggest hit of the year (Main Hoo Na). After that a string of decent hits like Masti, Deewar etc. Finally Vivah which turned out to be a blockbuster. In 3 years that isn't bad, she was quite popular with the audience back in the day
