Possible that the two are working together on something. Anushka is still not Mumbai based I think. She came for something and that something may include Ashish.

In one of the interviews 1 or 2 weeks back she had said her parents have gone back to Chandigarh because she is working on a project which is her Bollywood debut, and that she has sung 5-6 songs for that movie but can't mention any more details for now.

5-6 songs in a movie? That's literally full album. It's difficult to believe one new singer singing full album. Anyway good for her if it is true.
