Yeah he knows it's bothering her yet despite that each time she asks him to honestly tell her exactly what had happened at the cafe and what exactly pakhi had said, he refuses to answer and just lies or rather tells a miniscule portion of the truth that she only came to him for advice, which is a very vague answer as it doesn't answer her question about the full content of the conversation at all.
He is actually hiding the truth by not disclosing what happened in Cafe, normally somebody should be guilty doing that, especially you are hiding it from the person whom you claim that you love! Here tho, being guilty is door ki baat, he is angry on Sai for asking that l, as if she has 'misunderstood' the situation jab ki the truth is that she has point in her questions which he clearly knows!
