Well, one direct benefit is figuring in discography and in various music portals like Spotify, Saavn, YTMusic etc.as original artists.

Also, if these singers want to make a career in Bollywood, these songs serve as testimony to their skills as artists. Also, in a sense they are not treated as entirely raw.

Between getting a chance and not getting one, I would choose the former even if the song is not a hit. Even auto-tuned versions are useful because all Bollywood songs are ultimately auto-tuned.
