Separating the Don from the Raghav Rao

So the new promo is finally here and I am actually quite conflicted after watching it. Now these are just speculations and assumptions based on the promo. So if you are interested in the discussion......you are wholeheartedly welcome. If you dont want to speculate and would rather wait for it all to unfold ........kindly ignore the thread.

Let me start off by saying....the new promo has finally grabbed my attention and I feel like I want to watch the show again. Its interesting and exciting. If I keep aside the words that they both said ( I pissed wid Raghav for even saying Pallavi is wid him cz he is rich and at the same time I dont like all dt sone ki lanka dialogue either bcz Pallavi alwys knew who Raghav was ) and ignore the separation track. I can see a new love story forming. This time they know they hv loved each other but they are also aware dt they have huge differences between them and those need to sorted out to make them dt perfect couple that they till now thought they were.

By all this what the makers are trying to achieve I guess.....is the lost usp of the show. The show was at its peak glory days when it revolved around just the two of them and their contrasting personalities.After the Mandar track failed miserably they are trying to revamp the story and take it a step or two back. Its unfortunate that somewhere they will kind of lose the progression they made all this time but it will also make the bond stronger. I alwys thought the confession was a bit premature . Had they kept it till the end of Mandar track......it would hv become a whole different scenario ryt now. Having said dt I do look forward to the track.

But what I dont like about the whole promo or the tone it sets is that Raghav is some kind of evil that needs to repent and rediscover himself. I am not saying Raghav is a saint but then he was never meant to be a saint. It was always the undertone of the show how they both being so different , enhanced each other. Then why does he need to change. He might not have used all honest ways to get to the top but he has always accepted dt abt himself. A lot of people do dt but not all of them fall down back to riches to become better people.

Also Raghav has always been a grey character. The prefix Don comes attached to the Raghav Rao. I dont really want him to change his personality for love. He needs to learn and improve many of his traits maybe but his overall personality defines him and the story since its inception. So I wouldnt want him to change bcz that changes the entire story only.

Anywys lets see if the promo follows up wid substance.

It's ITV world dear. Everybody can change in a second. Though yes grey character male lead doesn't remain one by the few episodes in ITV world. They lose their accumen their smartness or sharpness or may be everything gets reserved only for female lead and same goes for female lead. Let's hope for best.

Agree, they are trying to bring back the old Raghav…at least that’s my understanding from the Promo…the line, him being bekabhu…is the Raghav that we got introduced too…ruthless rash unapologetically adamant & arrogant…ppl trying to calm him with injections can also indicate that the authorities are trying to clamp his illegal ways but he still resist… I still don’t see it as anything to do with him getting mentally unstable…drugs tho bilkul be nahi…

Promos are always dramatic and over the top…I don’t think this is to make him look like a villain but more of grey character only…Raghav does indulge in unethical means to run his business and this was going to become a point of contention between Raghav Pallavi…some one is definitely going to get hurt/die…khoon ka paisa is a clear give away…Raghav may consider this only as a collateral damage but Pallavi may not see it that way…won’t blame her…she has been idealistic… so it’s more of ideological clash leading to a painful separation and/or redemption and reconciliation that we might get to know as the track progresses…

The best part here I felt is it’s going to raghavi centric like before and no one in between them ! It was hatred and how they got together pre marriage and now it’s love and how they are going to deal with this situation after marriage !! I’m excited !

As of now I feel this relationship is highly imbalanced. Raghav gives and gives and never receives anything in return. Doesn’t he deserve unconditional love? Is he not worthy? This is the guy who is willing to blow his brains out for Pallavi. Has he asked her to change? When the marriage fiasco happened , he was overbearing and told her she was better off without her selfish family, but when he realised that that was what she craved for he willingly let himself be humiliated and gave her back her family. Yes, he was dead wrong first in snatching it away but i believe he’s made amends over and above . His love is in his actions. He always shows in deeds than use big words to proclaim his love. My point is , he was never a don in his personal relationships . It’s only in his business ventures he is one. So why strip him off it ? As you’ve said he was introduced as a grey character and even though he’s a don he has his own codes that he lives by. He takes care of his own like nobody’s business. So this don has his ethics too. So when he becomes white what then is there to show? Everything becomes hunky dory and that’s it? Is this where this track is leading to? The very essence of this show is Raghav Rao Hyderabad ka don. That’s how they promoted this show too. We all got caught up in the tornado called Raghav Rao because he was different. I don’t want to speculate as to what will happen but I do hope the Don is left untouched as I don’t think I can bear him being stripped off it. I do have Low expectations but for Ketan I’m willing to put up with anything.

The premise seems to be promising, although the consensus being Raghav is good as he is. Of course being in love must have softened his rough edges but the traits should prevail just like for Pallavi the black & white world (I will not comment here about how her behaviour is when it comes to her Ex in laws) is what it is. Both can grow. Also I am curious to know about how the other characters fit in between this couple's conflict. Also Raghav will be fine else the conflict cannot happen if one party is unstable.

Having said the above I am going to keep my expectations subpar as I have my doubts regarding writing & execution. Rest the ITV & the jilebis they serve 😊!!

The other characters are probably the ones who are going to bring in the tadka…Sunny lost this round against Pallavi probably to win the next one…Laxmi is there to checkmate Raghav’s business..I still feel Nikhil is the one who is going to get hurt..bada/chota bindhi are there to rile up Vijay and Keerthi will rile up Amma..Raghav and Pallavi will be pitted against each other, Farhad with Raghav, Ayi with Pallavi and Amrutha & Kaku on the fence…

Having said the above I am going to keep my expectations subpar as I have my doubts regarding writing & execution. Rest the ITV & the jilebis they serve 😊!!

I completely agree with u and that is why I am not looking forward to this track..

I have no problem with Raghvi's clash and difference in ideologies...I have a problem with proving that raghav is bad and wrong....I don't like raghav loosing money , name and fame, the empire which he has single handedly built with his hardwork and smart work, that too due to something as common as tax and custom duty evasion..it's not a horrendous crime to pay such a big penalty..

Raghav loosing his sanity , his power is completely unimaginable for me..I don't mind raghvi fighting and may be giving a cold shoulder, but eventually understanding and reaching a middle ground, but it looks like makers want to prove that pallavi was right and for her to accept raghav he has to change which doesn't go down well with me..

Raghav rao, the don, the flawed ML was the USP of the show, by taming the beast , they might get the trps but loose fans like me who was and is head over heal in love with the raghav rao whom I saw for the first 100-120 episodes...

Yaar no offense but why do we keep giving this excuse that its "ITV" everytym.

I dont remember many shows but in Pratigya show Krishna always remained dt goon .....he changed as a person but underneath they never changed his personna. He was never the saint kind or goody two shoes kind and der toh the FL ws a lawyer. Not a big fan of the show but just showing examples.

Here toh Raghav is not even a bad person nor does he harm people. We all hv grown to love dt Raghav only.

But I do get what you are saying. Its typical to show the ML change and become like Lord Ram .
