Thousand needles were piercing his heart seeing her cry.....
Raghav got a call and he moved aside to receive it and when he came back Pallavi was not there "bedroom mai gaya hoga" Raghav thought to himself. After finishing all of his work he came back and saw Pallavi sitting on their bed waiting for him "Raghav..." she got up to talk to him but before she could he went to the bathroom to change and ignored her again.
Pallavi was already exhausted with all that was happening....but the worse was when the people whom she values the most keeps ignoring her. She again waited for him.....he came out of the bathroom changed into his robe, Pallavi again tried to talk "Raghav...meri baat..." but before she could explain.....before she could ask him to believe her, he climbed on to the bed to sleep, and turned to the other side not even facing her. Pallavi was devastated...she was trying hard to convince amma and Raghav to believe her but all was in vain....
Raghav woke up in the middle of the night and turned around to see that Pallavi was shivering, as she was clenching on to the bedsheet...
"Pallavi" Raghav softly called out to her as he got up worriedly, he cupped her face and her face was burning hot....Raghav got up and hurriedly searched for the AC remote which he finally found it on the side table, immediately he increased the temperature and looked at Pallavi she was still shivering....
He increased the temperature more but nothing was working....Pallavi started breathing heavily as it was getting difficult for her to breathe.
Raghav ran downstairs while dialing Farhad's number "Farhad jaldi se doctor ko bula...voh sab batane ka time nhi hai..." Raghav shouted, hearing his voice amma came from her room "Raghav tu itna raat ko...kya hua?...sab theek hai na" amma asked as Raghav's face had become pale "amma...voh Pallavi...usko bukar hogaya hai...shayad" Raghav answered while impatiently waiting for the doctor "shayad....yeh kya bol raha hai...side ko ho" amma rushed towards their room, while Farhad came in with the doctor.
Amma and Raghav were both waiting outside.....Raghav was pacing tru and fro, "anna...shant ho jayiye bhabhi ko kuch nhi hoga" Farhad tried to calm him...Raghav looked at him "tera bhabhi merko samajh nhi aata hai Farhad....raat ko baarish mai beegh raha tha" Raghav said with annoyance,
"voh beegh raha tha...aur tune usko roka nhi..gochu kahika" amma scolded Raghav, "par amma.." before Raghav could say anything the doctor came outside and both of them pounced on her
Raghav: "doctor....Pa-Pallavi theek toh hai na".
Amma: "doctor...mera Pallavi ko kuch...."
The doctor tried to calm them "dekhiye aaram se....unko sirf bukar hua hai....maine dawai dedhi hai thodi der mai unke health mai improvement aa jayega", amma took a sigh of relief while Raghav rushed towards Pallavi, Farhad went with the doctor to show her the way out.
Both Raghav and amma were sitting beside her....the temperature decreased a bit and even though she was still panting but it wss not like before. Pallavi opened her eyes and saw amma was changing her patti while Raghav was rubbing her feet which were getting "amma" Pallavi called...amma and Raghav got up, amma came close caressing her face looked her worriedly
"Pallavi...tu-tu theek hai na?" amma asked "amma...sorry" Pallavi whispered, tears started filling in amma's eyes while Raghav was cursing himself for Pallavi's fever. "Tu abhi kuch mat bol aur aaram kar" as amma finished speaking Pallavi closed her eyes and went back to sleep while amma stroked her hair.
"Amma aap jaake aaram kar lijiye...mai Pallavi ka dyan rak lega" Raghav said as amma was tired. Amma nodded and went back to her room as she looked at Pallavi. Raghav sat beside Pallavi holding her hand.
After a while Raghav had dozed off when suddenly woke up as Pallavi again started shivering, he took out more blankets but nothing was working that's when he remembered...somewhere he had read that body warmth is the best alternative heater. Without wasting any moment he climbed on to the bed inside the blanket beside Pallavi and wrapped his arms around her bringing her close to his chest. Soon enough she stopped shivering as Raghav smiled sighing relief as he embraced her tightly.
Pallavi woke up in the morning only to see that she was laying on Raghav's chest...she looked at his sleeping face and again placed her head on to his chest cuddling in more as she went back to sleep.
