I know ig\ts Punjabi heaven there đ
I remember Aaja Mahiya from Fiza particularly because I had to dance on a table in front of so many people and the sun was up in my face . The rehearsals were fun.
Chaiyya Chaiyya and Falguni's songs ofcourse.
Ramta Jogi.
And Mehbooba from Ajnabee. I associate all those with school and friends from there.
There are others tht make me nostalgic in general but too many to list here..like ones from Yes Boss, Kuch Kuch Hota hai .
Aur Kya from Phir Bhi Dil hai Hindustani was pretty good btw

Has no one ever asked you to dance on Maasi, Maama, bua, Chahcha ki shaadi pe đ
I never understood the thrill relatives got. beta, gaana suna do. Beta dance kare ke dikhao.
When kids are too young, nursery rhyme suna do.
Matlab kya, aur kyun đ

My parents thankfully never did such guest ke saamne naacho nonsense. I never even danced in front of tv. They did tell some people I could sing but Iâve always been a shy quiet kid with a short fuse whoâd glare at them and throw a fit if they tried so they never forced me to do that either.
Shaadi byah mein though they (and relatives and cousins) tried to drag me to the dance floor but it never worked. Waise mere relatives aise badtameez nahi hain.đ
My family couldnât pull me off the dance floor. I made them hate these songs because Iâd repeat it at least 500 times a day.
Then came the traumatic early teenage years when I used to perform to these two songs in parties, while my relatives cheered and encouraged my public humiliation (execution).
I had no dance partner either. I performed all these dance steps with my imaginary hero in front of 50 people. Itâs more painful watching the Aap Mujhe Ache moves. I did exactly what theyâre doing, except I was doing it by myself. đ
