yeah, you're right, they should have showed some other reason for priya not getting married. they have just made her too much of a damsel in distress. disgusting father, cheater sister, kamina ex-bf and financial stress sare dukh dard ek sath.

Ram is surely too good to be true. the way he is pining for vedika is unbelievable. thoda zyada ho gaya hai.😆 but nakul is adorable so thik hai. :P

Here's my general impression about BALH2 so far (i can't remember which epi showed what so i will try not to spoil anything for you):

Main pros:

• Ram and priya's characterization: I really like how they have been portrayed so far and I really hope CVs don't mess it up. Priya isn't the perfect sacrificing sister (yet) and hasnt really forgiven her father and sister. Really appreciate the real emotions here. I also like how ram isn't an egoistic businessman who's manhandling FLs (looking at you Gul Khan MLs)
• Acting by Nakul and Disha: omg these two are just perfect in their roles like you mentioned. The subtle acting and their chemistry with other characters are too amazing!
• Pace of the story: i am enjoying the fast pace of this show. Makers aren't dragging anything and giving equal importance to both families, including the billions of side characters lol

Cons:

• Too many damn characters. I was hella confused initially (still am 😂) because i just couldn't keep up with so many convoluted relationships in the show. Priya's ex marrying her younger sister, Ram's ex marrying his friend, Ram's ex's Brother-in-law getting engaged to Ram's sister, that same sister being in relationship with Priya's cousin brother (there's a few more but I wont' spoil those lol)

bold - super-like and super-agree 👍🏼 so refreshing to have a sweet hero who wears his heart on his sleeve (albeit a bit too much at times but filhal ok). also reminded me of a certain someone, a long haired, painter hero who was also as sweet and loving 😳 ❤️

nakul and disha are spot on, their casting it so apt here.

@cons - cant agree more. there are 4-5 girls around priya who i didnt understand where sisters or friends and uss me se bhi 2 have some marital issues going on obviosuly, kaise shadi pe yakin karegi bechari ye sab dekh ke

did they mention is ram's sibling are real or step-sister/bro? obviously his mom is not his real mom, right?

I knew she's bengali but didn't know she spoke it as well. I thought she lived in mumbai so didn't speak bengali often but I was wrong

yeah the cupcakes convo was in epi 1. felt so bad for ram, his sis didnt even wait for him for engagement and didnt even acknowledge in her speech 😭 (though i think this was in later epi)

Ram's family is very selfish..i'm not getting good vibes from his step mom and step sis. they seem to be just using him

yep..i wished they highlighted on priya being independent and her family's bread earner. she is a teacher, runs the bakery and also gives tuitions to kids. but no, all they highlight is how much she hates men

hahahha yeah, anything for nakul. In fact, i used to watch IB only for him so BALH2 is much easier to tolerate 😆

lol those 3 girls are priya's sisters. Sara: the elder sister who's having marital issues i think. Then it's Priya. Then Maithli (or whatever her name is) who married Priya's ex 😡 Then the youngest one who gave a job interview at Ram's friend's office in yesterday's episode

yep, i think all those siblings are ram are his step siblings. Atleast Shivina and that annoying guy who went to Priya's house with Ram's step mom today

bold - i dont know dude. apparently from oct 1, HS will be discontinued here. but they are saying it will be moved to Hulu in time. times like these i realize no matter how much i curse sitara, i cant imagine not having its shows in my life. at least old shows. 😆 gonna need to find some way around until hulu thing works out 😔
