I will start of by saying, please let's keep the logic out of the window and just appreciate the performances. Because if I start focusing on the pragmatic side then it'll start smelling like rotten bananas (note that makers).

I loved the little nuances of the actors portrayed so perfectly today. I have a weird habit of noticing more around the spotlight than on it, so I mostly have to watch every epidose twice to notice everything perfectly. Hilarious, I know. But... anyways.
The cream on the layer has to be Milind Deshmukh's reactions today. I was stupified by that horror struck reaction he had so effortlessly brought on his face as they watched the video. It came so naturally on his face that I ponder on the depth of the character he had descended into. I could always feel there was a special bond between him and Sharda. My belief was further cemented in that hospital scene where he is distraught and literally trembles with fear and shock remembering seeing his sister in law's prone figure covered in her own blood. He is the first and the only person shown to actually come well out of his shock replacing it with wrath. He slapped Mandaar (which was well deserved). The fandom rejoiced. But what took the cake for me was the scene prior to that.
I absolutely adored the fact he came in front of Raghav. (Infact the love the entire sequence). Though we all know Raghav Rao hardly needs someone to protect him from a fist fight and kaka being the least likely person who could act the guardian from a physical bout yet, that little action showed that Pallavi was not the only person who thinks the man worthy enough and cares for him enough to even act like a physical shield for him. I had this thought in brain since the time I had seen Milind interact with Raghav, that he would suffice for that empty role of a father figure in his life. There is some fatherly affection there definitely. Ofcourse this also proves (thought that has been tested enough) that her kaka is Pallavi's father in the real sense.
Milind Deshmukh mostly used as a comic relief in situations has again proved quite satisfactorily that he has the mettle required in situations where his elder brother fails spectacularly.
Coming to Vijay Deshmukh, I know most of the fandom will disagree with me but I don't think he acted out of character or even in a wrong way as you could term it. We are looking at him from an audience's perspective who adore Pallavi and Raghav. Obviously we'll be mad at him. I get the parallel people would draw saying that he trusted a stranger's words and threw Pallavi out of the house and refused to believe Pallavi's documented and inarguable evidence but... but in real life, this is hardly surprising. Pallavi has always been his widowed daughter in law. Yes he had kept her, loved her to some extent and protected her from society's cruel jabs buttttt.. he has always seen her as someone he could control. When Pallavi had started drifting, not remaining that pure white widowed woman of his son... he couldn't take it. A very normal occurrence in reality. Note that I am not telling that it is right. I am telling it is unfortunately normal.
Whereas Mandaar is his son. Keeping in mind Vijay Deshmukh's egotistic and bull headed personality and considering the fact how difficult it would be for a father to digest seeing and being told that his son (the one he had so tragically lost and so miraculously given back) had tried to kill his wife. The reason of his shocked stance, not being able to utter a word, not doing anything but standing like a statue at the side lines is very justified and completely in character. He was getting punished. He was seeing his heart and his ego being slowly broken into pieces by the one man he had loved so ardently. We cannot imagine a parent's pain. We simply can't. He must have been suffering as much as Sharda might have when she was being pushed off.
Note again, I am not telling he is right. I am telling he is in character and behaved quite normally for a person in such a situation. Look at him from a father's pov and not a human being.
Raghav Rao... oh my god! What will I even say about this man? I don't know how is it possible for one person to emote so much and so varied in one scene itself. See, we already know how much he loves Pallavi. That was made glaringly obvious by the stupid decision he had taken to go to jail for life, to save her from burning her own hand. His love for her will make him stand at the edge of a cliff with one foot into the nothingness, ready to take the other step without hesitation if needed. So I'de not talk about why he consented to press that gun to his own temple.
I'de rather talk about two things today.
Number one, I cheer the makers for showing Raghav being as shocked as the other Deshmukh's while seeing the video. Here I will bring to notice, how in the previous episode he had told he has checked that the video was the right one, downloaded in his mobile. That means he has already seen it once before. Yet, they showed somehow seeing it again made him react with the same amount of horror at the first time. This is subtly hinting at his relationship with Sharda. He is someone who loves his own mother to death. For him, seeing any mother in such a state would be evidently horrifying. And Sharda was someone he had always adored in a way. Seeing her like this was immensely painful.
Number two, the fact that he came in front of Sunny of all people. I refuse to believe that Raghav would not know how Sunny's intentions are to serve his own purpose. It was quite candid from the first, and Raghav has been shown to clearly believe that fact that Sunny was helping him purely to take revenge from Mandaar. If makers forget that then I don't have anything to say. Keeping that theory aside, we always knew Raghav has an almost unnoticed and involuntary protective streak in him. He somehow feels that whoever comes in contact with him for a long time, helps him out in someway ... somehow deserves his protectiveness. Maybe he does it unconsciously. But that just reveals another fascinating facet of this man.
He had no qualms in laughing and enjoying himself seeing Mandaar and Sunny punch it out the previous day itself. But the moment Sunny helped him out, albeit with reasons of his own he somehow became the recipient of his protection albeit just once and only this time. If Sunny thinks that Raghav is in his side just because he didnot let Mandaar hit him today then he is a fool. (Which he is, though.. wanting to rename RR Mansion.. the idiot! 🤣)
The performance... I'de rather not extend his post and just say.. Sai and his eyes... *sigh*
Pallavi was on fire today. I loved her acting after a long... longgggg time. The way she expressed through her tears, that pain, that shock, that horror even after knowing that truth. The way she reacted seeing that video... it was so genuine, so natural that for a second I forgot this was an actor acting out a character in a fictional world for a fictional situation. Kudos Shivangi! Take a bow.
Obviously the centre piece of attraction for Pallavi for today's episode was how she said that she is not afraid but I loved the way she came in front of Milind and slapped Mandaar even more. Action always speaks louder than words. And today Pallavi's actions have effectively branded Mandaar for life. She would never....never love him back. Whatever he does, whatever he doesn't do... doesn't change that fact and somewhere I felt Mandaar realised that, that instant itself.
I loved the entire aura surrounding Pallavi today. She was veritably glowing --- Basking in the light of her truth, breathing in the much overdue freedom from her suffocation, brilliant in her strive to receive and render justice and absolutely mesmerizing in her love for the man she could freely express to be in love again.
Another side note.. Pallavi's eyes showed fear only as Raghav proceeded to shoot himself. When Mandaar had her by the neck, manhandled her, pressed that knife against her throat, inches away from taking her life she showed nothing except a repulsive disgust and a justified rage. She was roiling in hatred and burning in fury. Only to be doused with a bucket if ice cold water bringing in the terror when her lover, her husband was threatened. Brilliantly executed.
Mandaar Deshmukh... I am in awe of Ashok's acting. I mean, he has so perfectly portrayed a man tipped over the delicate balance of insanity and obsession. The level of creepiness he has brought about is commendable. The more I feel disgusted at Mandaar, the more fascinated I am of this person's acting calibre. I mean, the way he swung so seemlessly from showing desperation (albeit in pretence), anger and the switch to the monstrous madness he possessed was a treat to watch. I would love to see Ashok in further projects. Having said that I wonder whether I'll be able to unsee a facet of Mandaar Deshmukh in him.
Kudos! Loved it.
About Sharda, I'll write in the next episode cause I have a very good idea of what is going to happen. Till then ciao!

Did I tell you I rambled too much in this post?
Did I also tell you, that I'm absolutely not thrilled that SKR liked my tweet?
I'll go scream in the corner...tataz!
