Mahira's performance in recent episodes speaks itself, her fears, her loss that has taken her life, and these people around her who made sure she could dig her own grave in such losses were portrayed so well.

Mashaal's evil and dark character with chameleon's face was shown during the cafe more than in any other scene. Here we saw how devious she is. I am finding the pace very slow.

The only person who I am having trouble with since the beginning is Aswad.

The performances are damn good, yes including that of Usman’s- given the limitations of the character he got, I must say he is making the most of it!

But the problem I have with the show is that none of it comes across as organic and natural. Be it Mehreen’s angst or Mashal’s evilness or Aswad’s brainlessness.

It seems like their only aim is to take a lot of closeup shots of the actors feeling all sad and angsty and angry and squeeze our hearts of our emotions as much as possible.

I don’t see this drama being able to hold up the audience for long if this how they plan to proceed until the end of it.

There is too much negativity and hardly any ray of hope in the sight. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to build up excitement for this drama. If they want to keep it all realistic, why are they making Mashal so evil and that too a formidable one at that who always succeeds in all her lies, schemes and evil plotting? There has to be some balance right?

Am i the only one who is finding this drama boring.

It's all about cousin politics. There is now excitement in it.

It is a very typical drama with same old story except with a stellar cast. Also the ost is overused in the background anytime out of nowhere which is annoying.

Exactly. It was especially annoying to see it being used for the evil Mashal. I mean, if they wanted to make her sympathetic they should’ve left some goodness in her but they have left no stones unturned in showing how evil and cruel that girl is. Are they still trying to tell us that Mashal is just a grey character but not a evil one?

boring story...mahira looks misfit as mehreen no offense...two cousins who arent on speaking terms and male lead who stays abroad, the actor looks half-baked in emoting scenes...

Aswad is hella backward.

Not just backyard but real dumb..he doesn't have a brain of his own, believing whatever Mashal feeds him.

Aswad is so regressive! How is it his business who Mehreen dines with? I’m glad that at least Mehreen told him off. I dont know if it is the actor’s acting or whether its how Aswad’s character is meant to be, but he has zero chemistry with the girls. He looked so awkward and uncomfortable in that scene in his house with Mashal, yet he is supposed to be in love with her and wants to marry her..

Mashal is annoying af, and I still don’t like Kubra’s makeup. Ease up on all that blush on your nose, gurl, you look like you have the flu.

Mehreen standing up for herself has been impressing me so far, but looking at the promo for next week, it seems she is going to get herself engaged to Aswad to get back at Mashal. which is honestly stupid as hell.

🤬BOOK SPOILER🤬In the novel, Mehreen was sort of forced into the marriage so I could sympathise with her.🤬END OF BOOK SPOILER🤬 But TV Mehreen getting herself married to someone who clearly despises her is stupid as hell, and will ruin the show for me. Especially considering that she has Safi, who clearly adores her and has no judgements towards her regarding her father and her insane cousin. I’m still on the Mehreen-Safi ship. It’s a shame they won’t end up together.
