This portion was hilarious! This "Ron" we had never seen in movies & this is why I love Book Ron so much.
“Don’t know why he’s so bothered,” said Ron. “If I’d brought a toad I’d lose it as quick as I could. Mind you, I brought Scabbers, so I can’t talk.”

I am yet to complete the chapters. But still here for discussions, I want 2 more days to complete upto Ch-10 as I was busy with many things in this period. But we can do mid discussions right? If you all have completed reading upto Ch-10 you can go a little slow for me and I would gather speed in reading from today onwards.

Hi Simi 🤗 Don't worry too much, as we all are reading for pleasure. We can discuss till the part everyone has completed reading. And if you struggle with completing chapters, try audiobooks on soundcloud. I find audiobooks quite helpful when I want to read faster.
I hope others don't mind a mid discussion too.
These portions have always been my favourite:
"I’ve learned all our course books by heart, of course, I just hope it will be enough"
"Harry looked at Ron, and was relieved to see by his stunned face that he hadn’t learned all the course books by heart either."
"Whatever house I’m in, I hope she’s not in it,” said Ron. He threw his wand back into his trunk. “Stupid spell — George gave it to me, bet he knew it was a dud.”
JKR had started giving hints of pairing Ron with Hermione from this portion itself.
Actually I was busy with personal stuffs, plus the game was there too in the weekend. I will speed up now. Hey Tia (I am cutting your beautiful name, hope you don't mind), I think you're Bengali naa? Talking about audiobooks, do you hear Sunday Suspense?Originally posted by: tournesol

Very well written Diya ❤️🤗
I do actually like the movies (most parts of it), specially certain scenes. While the movies couldn't include everything from the books due to time constraints, it made up for it with some conclusive scenes. Like the books take a long time to establish the fact that Sirius sort of sees James in Harry. This spanned over several books. But the movies made up for it in one scene alone where he called him by James's name.
There are other scenes like this too that I liked from the movies. What I absolutely didn't like was dumbing down the characters, specially Ron's and Harry's and giving all their lines where they show their intelligence to Hermione.😡How I love sassy and manipulative (not in a bad way!) Harry.
And in doing all this, they changed Hermione's character drastically. The movie Hermione never looks ruffled or much affected by things happening around her, but the book Hermione reacted as one would expect a muggle raised child to.
@Bold: You know I love that Book Hermione who panics a lot yet intelligent and bossy yet extremely emotional, all of which I could never see in any of the movies. And that's why Book Hermione has always been my favourite as I can relate to her unlike Movie Hermione. And all the flaws of Hermione has been removed in the movies, plus most of Harry & Ron's lines have been given to her to make her super human. Plus the director is so dumb that he tried to make a love triangle between the trio in DH movies which never exist or make sense as far as the 7 books are concerned 🤬
Also the adorable bond of Harry & Sirius which is one my most favorite thing in the whole series has been shown in an extreme worse way & cut short in the movies which I just hate it.

Oh! Yeah, I understand. I am going through a hectic period too :( Nope, I don't mind, Tia is alright too. 😆 Yup, I am Bengali. It was obvious I guess, given the discussion on your game thread. 🙈
Yeah, I do hear Sunday Suspense, the episodes are amazing. I particularly love it when they narrate Ray's stories or Sherlock Holmes.
I believe you are also Bengali, and enjoy listening to Sunday Suspense, right? 😃
Guys my internet connection is going through mood swings due to continuous thunderstorms here. I'm sorry I couldn't take part in the discussions yesterday, although I had read the chapters. I'll join back and reply as soon as I can.
Hello Diya & Tia, I am extremely busy till Friday, so I'll be meeting you all on Saturday @6PM, okay?
