As of now, I've only seen the first episode & didn't feel the glorification factor so far. Maybe because his father got killed and he had to immediately usurp the throne to take charge. His grandmother wanted an apt ruler which she thought was in Babur and thus intentionally let go of his father during the earthquake in Ferghana. He was a weak in utilizing the sword so his sister and the Wazir trained his mind yet he was oblivious to whom to trust upon. Somehow, I have a feeling that Khanzada is going to be play a huge factor in helping him run the throne thus paving way for good sibling relationship.

No doubt, there will be some distortions with historical facts but I just watched it as pure entertainment and masterpiece factor. No need to believe or compare it to GoT or Ranveer Singh's Khilji because it is really different IMO.

I never liked her as an actress TBH but have heard people state that she was decent as the older Khanzada. I haven't seen the next set of episodes yet so I can't comment so far. But, I never liked her as an actress even though she had a huge fan following from her Geet show. I never understood the craze behind that and IPKKND (2011 series).

No, what I mean is these Mughal Kings were brutes and were known to be outright cruel in their approach, especially towards women and non-Muslims. A show being made in India showcasing his human side is hardly different from Jews honouring a web series in memory of Adolf Hitler. Babur as a central character only means this. We Indians need to get out of our Stockholm Syndrome.

Bijlani is 😒😒 Ekta mai introduced him in matsh and his stint was a massive failure. He would go on to blocking people only because they were Shakti Arora fans or IshVeer fans. I've developed this dislike for him. As an actor, he was bad too.

LOL, he is limited as an actor and host IMO. I've seen his arrogance develop especially when he joined rangeela and did shows for the same channel. 😆

Oh acha. TBH, I've anticipated historical distortions in terms of information & characterization so wasn't flabbergasted for that fact. Just watched for entertainment purposes as a neutral viewer. 😆I mean, we all know how brutal they were as emperors towards women & non-Muslims (barring some though I still remain skeptical of that too lol 😂 🤣).

I'll be honest with ya, I was also skeptical of Babar's father as an imperfect ruler in Babar' grandmother's perspective. 😆Not denying that the actors were decent in their craft, but the characterization was skeptical factor. 😆

Just finished up watching the web series, I see what you meant by the glorification factor. Being a brute vs his human side now.

One thing this web series culminated was that this throne usurption was a never ending saga that Babur faced, and the cycle has repeated with Kamran declaring his rivalry with Humayun. I guess, it ultimately boils down to how subjective historical facts are and the roles they donned. There was a small mention of Babur welcoming as the emperor of Hindustan but they didn't boil down to the fact whether he was a brute against non-Muslims or women. It was solely focused on political affairs and giving charge to the throne based on experience, characterization more than bloodline. Speaking of bloodline, it was also talked about how bitter and sweet bloodline could be in terms of ultimately usurping the throne.

Though after episode 5, I did feel that the plotline became more predictable in terms of establishing the Mughal empire thus I felt it was a theek-thaak web series. Not the best

There were several distortions such as age difference between Babur's son, cunning side of Khanzada (in the show, they were portraying this factor something Khanzada picked up from her grandmother thus anything for the bloodline, even if it means going against her husband), the shrewd side of Kamran's mother Gulrukh, significance of Mahham as someone alien from the royal bloodline, etc. But, would say it is worth watch for entertainment purpose though the storyline becomes more predictable and easily moves into the 18 year leap.

Good. I'll watch it later, November December-ish
