Yes... you read it right!

Pallavi is the most confusing character around. Let me tell you why...

1. She gives long lectures like every other FL of every other ITV show. Lekin karti kuch nahi hai. I mean I haven't see her with a trident or sword or the new age Bandook with which she can rip open the devil's chest! Dammit Pallavi, you could steal a gun from a police officer but you can't steal one from your own husband! Shame!!!

2. You forgave Raghav! How could you? No planning, no plotting... no bringing him down on his knees... no assassination of his character to the whole world! Ulta you saw the good in him! Stood by him when he was right! Brought his good side out! Mend his ties with his mother! And all this after promising vengeance! Che!!! If you don't have the guts of fulfilling your vow of revenge, then tall talks karne hi nahi the. Grudges hold karke baithna tha. You poured water on all my hopes of revenge drama... I am not going to forgive you for this.

3. You craved to go back to your family, atleast thats what you said. You wanted to go back to kolhapur, you even left once. But given an opportunity you again backed out. Tumhe deshmukh house jaana chahiye tha. Kya hua, they were wrong, bas itna hi na? Thoda moral and mental compass tumhare baba ka hil gaya tha... they threw you out in the middle of the night... and they turned a blind eye to the proofs that proved you and raghav innocent. Bas itni si baat pe tumne unko chod ke Raghav ko choose Kiya and priority badal li. Really! Rang badlu and dal badly! Loyalties kahan gayi tumhari? Aur kolhapur ki baat, toh tumne raghav ko chance diya and he changed... so? That means you still gonna stay put in Hyderabad!

I had all band Baja ready for your welcome to kolhapur, away from a place that you for the first time could call your home. Away from a place, where you found your genuine family. You again spoilt all my preparations. Bill bhejti hoon, tumhare Pati ke pass bohut paisa hai, mere pass nahi... toh mere bills clear karvao! I'll head towards parliament for the breach of my expectations.

4. Your character! Uff... kya bolun main! I know you have been lonely... you are not habituated to share your space with anyone. But what were you doing, giving wrong signals to Raghav! He wanted to kiss you, you didn't retaliate. He slept on your tummy, you didn't push him off! All that hand holding moments, kya tha woh? Expressing your desire for him, didn't you know you weren't entitled to it! And this after hesitating to share a room for the first ever time and letting someone share your space. You are confusing me big time girl... were you implying to have more time to get used to his presence in your life and accept your marriage or was it an implication towards a never shown on the show vow of celibacy? Kya karu main tumhara?

5. You loved him and yet needed someone to tell you that you love him. Idiot girl! Raghav has a lungi wala raghav, why could you not have a Navarri Pallavi! You felt you weren't capable to love or let love. Yeh bhi koi aur aake bataye tumko!!! Toh kya hua if all your life you have lived for people and never thought about your own thoughts and desires. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't read your own thoughts. Khudki samajh main yeh khud nahi Aati, isko main kya samjhoon!

6. You Pallavi, the ping pong girl! Mandar aaya and tum Raghav ko bhool gayi. Kyun? Woh tumhare aai baba ka beta hi toh hai. Doctor ne tumpe pressure daala, baba ne hath pair jode... bas na, aur kya.

(This is the only place where I genuinely think she went too overboard because maybe because the situation overwhelmed her. Nonetheless, her brains were out on vacation over here.)

7. What bacho wala game are you playing with mandar right now? Drop everything. Go to RR mansion. Kya hoga? Aayi will be the first to go? You consider her your mother... big deal... uska beta woh jaane! May be uske baad there might be 2-3 more deaths. You will have a life long stalker who may be like a sword hanging on your security, peace of your marital life and your family's security. Big deal, your husband is a Don, can atleast kill one and go to jail! Apne husband ki reputation ki izzat bhi nahi rakh sakti tum! Aise biwi kisi ko na mile!!!

8. Mandar is trying to get close to you. And you are letting him! You let me tie for pleats for you! Who do you think you are? Damsel in distress!! Push karo usko... violent ho jao... Chaakoo dikhao... swapnil ko dikhaya na... kya ho sakta hai isse... that psycho will become more nasty... more pushy and may try to exploit you more in view of your retaliation. Tab ki tab dekhte na. Here I was expecting a jhaansi ki rani part 2 from you and you froze! Really... you got scared... I get it... but who gave you the right to freeze like that! I bringing mahila mukti morcha at deshmukh house right now... oops no no sorry... you are into bigamy... so let me get purush mukti morcha to rescue your ex and current patios from a conniving wife like you!

9. You were a naive girl of 21-22, may be just out of college and married Mandar. No exposure to the world, yet you didn't give up. Really? Pallavi, why did you not think of yourself? Why did you not return to Kolhapur to your brother after the declaration of your husband's death? Why be so committed, so dedicated and so obliged? Umm sorry... yeh point galat hai, ITV leads ko aisa hi hona chahiye. So tick this. Chalo kuch toh acha Kiya tumne Pallavi... I had almost given up on you!

These are my reasons. If any of you find more... add!

I will add in my brief points of why Pallavi is a unusual (read bad) female lead of I TV.

1. She is a strong woman who is independent and talented. She doesn't need a man for financial or emotional support. I've hardly seen her cry. Matlab literal hadh hai. If she is not bahaing aasu ki tanki, I can't call her a I TV lead. Not done!!!

2. She literally had the audacity to give her point of view on things instead of listening to her father, brother or husband. I was so pissed when she went against VD and decided what she should do. Same with Raghav, how can she decide the priority in her life when her husband is there to decide it for her. How can she decide to not go back with her father when he wanted to take her back. Matlab, you have the men in your life to take decisions for you. How dare you use your mind.

3. Uske dil main apne father ki kasam ki koi jagah nai hai. I mean agar VD dies, uski zimmedari kaun lega. Phir se selfish banke apne bare main soch rahi hai. She should think about her father jisne bahu nai beti banke usko ghar main rakha so that she can do their seva and run their house. Itna ehsaan kia and look what she does.

4. How dare she have someone who is obsessed with her. Yeh toh uski sabse badi galti hai. In Indian itv it is only the male leads who can have multiple wives and relationships, who can sleep around, go clubbing. Pallavi how dare you two time these guys. Unke pyar aur izzat ki fikar karni chahiye na. When Mandar is HELPING you with your pleats you froze. Baki time toh you are reactive. Usko kitna bura laga hoga. Very bad!!!

Point number 8 👏

The hate coming about that is nonsensical

The one thing ill say is there us def inconsistency with her character thats frustrating.

For example,

Pallavi yelling at raghav for playing pranks and not telling her of him being there in d house,

She has herself been using comical ways to fool mandhar but raghav doing it deserved a beating.. that was strange.

She didnt hear him out at all. He saved her and rather than appreciate him saving her she was just blasting him..i get it. Shes frustrated and she is just fed up and venting but idk i wasnt a huge fan of how that scene played out. There pain and angst was def palpable and i loved that, but pallus character rubbed me the wrong way slightly in that scene.

The rest of the hate is truly nonsensical.

@TM love your topic, love the subtle sarcasm. Great post. I think some of the dislike for pallu is def called for but most of it is nonsensical but thats the poor writing for pallu to blame. Hopefully writers see whats happening and take feedback and try to adjust as necessary.

Thanks for tag Soni😳

You are absolutely correct! How dare Pallavi just forgive Raghav and fall in love with him? Doesn't she know she's supposed to plan his descent? Huh! I'm so disappointed. She has ruined my faith in revenge. I mean, of course we all know how giving her nature is, how she looks for good even when there is no hope left, but yeh sab ko side me rakh ke she was meant to make Raghav cry tears of blood right? Can you imagine finding good in the man who ruined your entire life, mentally harassed you for over a month, made everyone you call family cut ties with you? Such a disgrace! Even I want Raghav to reimburse all the money I spent on arranging a lavish girls night after she was supposed to return to Kolhapur!

Soni, how could you forget Pallavi's biggest fault!! She did not recognise Raghav by his touch when she almost escaped being burnt alive! How could she not recognise that the love of her life is playing a stupid game of pehchaan kaun with her when she is under immense stress. She should've just set aside all the mental and emotional torture that she is suffering from every second by staying in the Deshmukh house, and thought clearly! It is not true love. Pallavi does not love Raghav because she could not realise it's him who's passing flirty signals to her disguised as a mute cook, in front of a psycho who tried to kill his own mother and wouldn't hesitate to kill her if he sees her with another man.

PS: The first line really got me I had to check twice to see it's really you who made this post, but then I read further and I see what you did here😆

Hi!

I agree with you that there are inconsistencies in her character, but again, every character in the show, including Raghav, has many inconsistencies and that is just poor writing from the makers. They had so many opportunities to give her a smoother character arc but they focused on other unimportant things, that did not contribute to the story in any way.

Bold: I think her fooling Mandar is different from Raghav doing it to her. She is doing it so that Mandar doesn't hurt anyone else, however, Raghav did not need to play any games with her. He should have let her know it's him at the first chance he got. She has told him how Mandar is emotionally and mentally torturing her and it would've given her so much relief to know that he is with her in that house. In the state of mind that she is in, I don't think she cared about some random masked cook flirting with her, especially when Mandar is breathing down her neck every second. Having said that, I also did not think the beating was necessary.

Apart from the beating, I actually liked that scene. Her outburst was called for. It really showed how much pressure she is under and how hard she is trying to not break down in front of Mandar. The dialogues in that particular scene were actually nice in my opinion. I think it added depth and showed the gravity of the situation at hand.

Regarding the appreciating him and talking to him, it is the lazy writing that is to be blamed again. Unfortunately, we are no longer shown their conversations with each other and many things are left for the audience to assume. Here is my assumption: I think they did talk it out that night before everyone returned. She must have at least acknowledged him saving her twice, because she has always appreciated whatever he does for her in the past.
