One thing we all forget is a mother in law can never be a mother. She can be an understanding MIL but that's where it ends. Because any tiff between the son and DIL it will be extremely tough for her to be neutral judge. Its next to impossible. Blood is thicker than water! ALWAYS!!

I know few mother in laws who have ruined their sons apart for misbehaving with their DILs..Tv could come up with these MILs.. Just a neighbour of mine tried to hit his wife and she slapped him till her hands pained.. He was asked to get out of the house....then and there.. There are mothers and MILs like this, they can have such in TV shows to propagate a message...Manhandling m throwing the wife out, denying food should not just be called AN-BAN...problematic statements..

I hope Samrat as an elder brother gives her the support that she needs. Samrat may understand her insecurity and he is not biased towards Virat. No wonder they instantly bonded with each other. Felt really bad for Sai today.

I haven't personally seen such MILs. Hence the statement - which I think is at least 95% true. There are always exceptions to a rule and the ones u stated are truly excellent exceptions. Of course they can show such MILs. Good as a msg to the society as well.

I don't find her behaviour with Virat ..w.r.t. to mistakes he commits...or his interactions with Patralekha to be of a 'good' MIL honestly.. Even Normal MILs atleast for that moment give a good lashing.. they might get back to trying to explain the bahu...but chapet toh us din lag hi jayenge.😆. But again she is probably very soft by nature..

Knowing that she hasn't protested or even opened her mouth after all that she has undergone, it looks like she is very submissive and also lacks the confidence to talk to anyone on that. May be she has also come to believe that its normal behaviour of the mard!!!
