Sakshi, agree with Nups, take your time, there is no need to rush and let the family know that it will not work if they put pressure on you.
Nups, in real life for a couple like ShiVi most of times things wonāt work but there is a possibility things will work out of there is no family interference and both are left alone, sent to far away places to sort their differences (this works only say may be 5% of the time) This is what I am asking in the show as well but very well know that we will not get it. It is sad that they always show toxicity and claim it to be the favorite of TRP audience and online fans. I am really doubting myself for not liking any of the stuff shown between the 2 since the sawan pooja track.
I agree with you, staying far away from the family has been a boon as well as a bane. Boon for it can be the truest test of companionship like you said. Bane, as I didnāt have the support structure when my kids got sick and when I could not continue my full time job, had to quit and find a part-time job. But have no regrets making the decision to put family and kids first over my career. Living away has itās own pros/cons just like a joint family.
I lived in a joint family set up with chachas, chachis, cousins, grandmother until I was married and then moved on to nuclear family after marriage. I prefer staying by ourselves but no problems visiting family every year in India.
