Rāvaṇa's brother Kumbhakarṇa and all of his sons died for his lust.

However wrong Pallavi was about Mandar, that doesn't make Raghav a satisfactory husband yet. I would like to see Raghav be more considerate of Pallavi. She shouldn't have to reproach him. Both Raghav and Mandar have caused irreparable harm to others for their own selfish obsessions, and both of them currently treat Pallavi poorly. Mandar isn't a mastermind, and Raghav is blundering through his adventure as Svapnil. Both of them can't resist antagonizing each other instead of just pleasing Pallavi.

thank you for replying and giving such a wonderful piece of mythological information

This post is not for glorying raghav and bashing pallavi. Its a real life fact regarding person who is seeking to get closure of past and life teaching lessons before giving closures

Pallavi has habits of taking her own decisions without considering the consequences.so she is in current mess and now crying on her plight and urging raghav to take her out. I agree that she is independent. But when you are in relationship you cant take the decision on behalf of your partner.you cant take them for granted. When mandars truth was revealed to her for the first time she decided to play lovegame with mandar.at that very moment she had no other option.Fine. But when amruta took her out of room she could have easily reached to raghav and others through Amruta’s phone.Instead she got busy in her love game and in making kheer for mandar?? Wow…!!!

Doesn’t she realised the seriousness of the situation even after knowing M killed D and tried to kill aai???

She did not think once.,how raghav will react ..how much hurt he will be…

nothing fruitful has happened from her side since she has entered d house. Her standing and swearing in front of Bappa murti, nothing has happened after that.

but she did not tried to find the proofs..she got busy in taking care of deshmukh’s household and aai..

Even after telling truth to amruta she did not even once called raghav…instead they did toilet hide and seek drama.

Her saree caught fire but none of the deshmukh’s could save her including herself..insted she kept looking at mandar for help…

Raghav came and saved her.wasn’t that satisfactory???

She came out of bathroom doing saree pleats, even after knowing danger is looming around her in the form of mandar..

She couldn’t stopped mandar as she was scared..but raghav did that..wasn’t that satisfactory???

He tried telling her immediately after that incident by trying to take off the mask but she run away…

He fixed microphones in mandy room and got their first clue.isn’t it satisfactory?

I completely agree that raghav could have told her about him being in d house instead he kept worrying why she didn’t recognise him??? This was the sheer stupidity .he didn’t understood the seriousness of the situation but not to forget he was there to protect her when she failed to protect herself!!

The way mandar did not let her reach to raghav to tell the truth same way raghav could’t reach her to tell the truth of his identity because of his own stupidity.

Both are balanced with their mistakes now.

Real bashing should go to writers and producers..bcoz for the sake of trp and drama they are making raghav the don and pallavi look dumb.

Pallavi’s nature is like “jab mein karu toh sahi sur raghav kare to galat”???

Pallavi is stucked very badly right now…she is seeking closure and want to move on only with raghu…but destiny is not letting her do that…she herself is responsible for the situation!!! We cant deny.

And today’s outburst was the proof of her plight…thats why she vent it out on raghav with laathi…!!

You are right. In that Kansa point. Its a perfect analogy. Mandaar is Kansa personified. But I don't think Raghav can be called Ram. I don't think he could be called Purushottam Maryadaa... but then I have never thought Ram deserves that as well..

I mean God or not... Ramayanaa was patriarchy redefined. He told his wife to give Agnipariksha.. some might argue giving the version where he had given Sita to the fire before the vanvas and now just wanted her back - but the point stands he declared to the world, a woman needs to prove her purity. And even after that... he send Sita away (his pregnant wife) to the forest to calm the unrest in his subjects. So Ram could be a damn good king but sorry to say he was a rather terrible husband.

Ravaan on the other hand was evil, manipulative, a demon king who loved torturing the rishis. A horrible tyrant but beloved for his people. He had made his subjects super rich, held his family together. He didn't give a damn about anyone except his family - morals and virtues can go to hell! I'm not telling he was right but in this era, Kaliyug.. I prefer a Ravaan to Ram anyday. Call me self centered but I'de choose Raghav with his Ravaanic qualities (who would fight law and justice for his sister even if she kills someone) anyday before Vijay Deshmukh (an apparantly good mild manered man who threw his supposed daughter in law out of the house on the question of purity on the word of a stranger).

PS:- No offence to anyone please. Just my opinion. And specifically please donot think I hate Ram or the Ramayana... its one of my favorite reads as well but I have my own interpretation of the prose like anyone else.

Check this. A lot is not known because of ulterior motives of many.

And honestly speaking Raghav is actually a personification of Shiva for me.....his personality qualities and actions are all like Lord Shiva's temperament."

Mihika... avoid comparisons. Deities have been put to a standard which need much more than mere shows. Some traits can match but personification is a bit much.

And Mandaar is Kalyug ka Raavan. Upar se nakli Raam and andar se khuukhaar darinda Rakshash Raavan.....Actually no....he is not Raavan.....He is Kansa. Raavan never harmed his own family members even when Vibhishan cheated him he let him go unharmed. But Kansa killed his own nephews and prisoned his own sister, BIL and Father to the point of killing them. So Mandaar is Kansa for me.

Dhara I totally agree with your post.

Giving a short reply as pressed for time. Actually this show is all about Dont judge a book by its cover.

Raghav - a man who was all alone since the age of 17, did shady things to get this way, is a don to the world is actually a very good son, brother and husband. He may have his flaws but who doesn't. On an overall basis in the larger scheme of things, he is a good man. Despite his circumstances, his family life pre-Krishna Rao made him a good person. He has his moral code in place most of the times.

Mandar on the other hand, a boy raised by a supposed good family - a joint family turned out the way he did. He may be the best husband and son to his family before the world but we all know reality is far from it. I believe he has first-hand witnessed the emotional abuse of his mother by his father and may be faced it himself. Hence, it shows in his thinking. His moral code is super flawed (this is on him). Mandar tries to show his superiority but in reality is a coward.

The parallels between the hero and villian in this show are amazing. I wish the makers don't go subtle with this and try to be more vocal for the benefit of the audience who does not analyse this as much as we all do.

Pallavi at the time when talking to Raghav didn't know Mandar's reality because she had only heard (not witnessed) good things from the D family about him. Why would anyone in the D family who knew his truth (baba or aai) tell Pallavi how bad Mandar was specially considered he was dead and the truth did not matter to Pallavi then. Today, she has witnessed first-hand how he is and I am sure she thanks bappa everyday that she met Raghav and fell in love with him. I am so happy she never had to spend a single day with Mandar. He is a crazy man.

Pallavi lucked out that Mandar met with an accident and lost his memory and never came back in her life. I believe the universe brought Mandar in her life only so she could come to Hyderabad from Kolhapur to meet Raghav.

THEN…….

Pallavi deshmukh once told raghav rao that

“you don’t deserve to take a name of mandar.”

“He Never needed such chances like you”

“He will never do anything bad to me”

He said “kaan pakad ke genuinely sorry for hurting her”

But she showed attitude and fumingly went inside….because she did not even considered him worthy

But then for her raghav was not less than devil and mandar was saint(devmanus in marathi)

Image

“Your destiny is realisation

Your destiny is truth”

So her wish is granted …..

She realised the ugly truth of mandar, from killing her friend to tried to killed his own mother who brought him to this world….

Him forcing himself on her…tried to touch her without her consent, against her will

She sees his dirty obsession, lust…which is not even worthy of her second chance…!

( His bura side she is yet to see…his real intentions behind pallavi jaap and tum mere ho…)

Image

NOW….

He said “kaan pakad ke genuinely sorry for hurting her” but….

Today she showered her love on him and hugged him…she found her solace within him…

Raghav respects her…never touched her without her concent even after sharing same room and bed. He gave her freedom..he cared for her ..he protects her and love her unconditionally!

today she has realised the truth of mandar is just devil in disguise and her raghav is good human / the man with golden heart(the change after learning a lesson and realisation)

Image

THEN…..

Pallavi once wished

“ if mandar had not stepped out that night, my life would have been so different”

She uttered this word in front of a man who was her current husband, the man who universe had chosen for her. She ignored him and feeling guilty of not remembering her first husband’s birthday!

Image

“What you desire is what you want,

What you have is what god wants…”

Again destiny granted her wish and send mandar back to her life.

Now the shattered womens out of her humanity, farz…duty started staying with mandar with whom she had once wished…even after receiving universe Beautiful gift “the raghav rao”

So to let her know the worth of raghav rao, destiny granted her wish just to show her mirror and for her realisation that “god grants you what is right for you”

So she realised right and wrong, good and bad!!

Image

NOW….

the same women is now urging her husband to help her out and doesn’t wish to stay with a man she chosen once…

She brokes in front of him..longing to be with him..,

He…the universe chosen for her

He..the right choice and happiness for her..

The raghav rao…❤️
The ultimate protector and saviour …lover…

Wait, so basically he is justifying the patriarchical strains of Ramayana as a result of a chinese whisper happening between Rishis? 😅😅😅

You know it may have some element of truth but then whether the Ramayana has been tampered with or not... is a mere speculation based on continuity according to him. It's a moot point anyways. We will form our theories on the basis of the texts available to us right? There is no concrete proof of it being changed in any bad/good way.. ergo paradoxically we won't know whether the original version was any better or not.

Anyways. Thanks for the video. That was pretty informative. 😃

Perfectly right about Ravana's curse because of which even though he lusted after seeta maa, he kept himself away because by forcing he will die. Kya hi enjoy karega apna lust ko 😆 he was not some good level devil.
