So I heard that Pallavi and mandaar are going to get engaged....? Apparently Raghav will be cooking a dawat for the ceremony😆
Or perhaps he'd cook mandaar for the ceremony🤣

Yaaa yaa I loved that part , the way they implied that he leans into kiss her while leaving - very normally and that's an everyday thing for them
I hate sometimes when they give this build up and give side angle kiss or blurr it
This implication was ❤️
This was way more relatable tbh
That's soo normal couplishh❤️
They've actually left an opening here naaa.
The same way they left opening for imagination in their bedroom scene after that whole lying on her stomach.
Here also they have left it open to us to think that he kisses her everytime he leaves from home.
Seee i am smart 😎
Hmm so I had a problem wit the scene and so did a few others but I assure you I am not a Raghav fan and neither a Pallavi fan. Raghav was definitely abusive. But the show highlighted his abuse as abuse(obviously some people found it hot because Raghav is good looking and this it TV but makers didn’t show that) while Pallavi doing it was shown as comedy. This is why I feel like it was not ok. Male victims of DV are not properly recognized by law and are laughed at by society so it seems a bit insensitive.
However I understand that we need to separate Tv from IRL because they will never be close. Fiction should be taken as fiction and then left there. Not all shows need to have morals. I only believe in protesting because people watching the show may be influenced by such behavior(Case in point- an Indian man accused of stalking a woman in Australia said he was influenced by Hindi movies and his case was dismissed) This is why I speak on the forum and hope that people see the other side of the story.
BTW even Raghav raising his hand on Pallavi was wrong, even if it was done out of ‘love’.
Thats a great point you made about how Raghavs abuse is always seen as abuse. This is common in ITV - when a man does something out of anger, it’s shown as a fearful scene, and thus given the connotation that it is abuse/bad. And when a woman does it, they throw in funny bgm and play it off as a comedy scene. The other show I recently saw fl hit men was a serious scene though. So it does vary but yeah more often than not, if a woman is beating her husband, it’s funny.
I would never even consider Raghav raising his hand on Pallavi an action born out of love, it was definitely wrong in my book. Doesn’t matter if he didn’t like what she said, his hand didn’t need to go up. Him yelling her name in a warning tone was enough.
Since I’m already dissecting this scene - in Pallavis situation, she did not need to grab the stick. I would’ve rather seen her inch closer and closer to him and yell his ear off.
ITV does like to dramatize things for shock value and dramatic or comedic effect. Like I said in my post, irl, none of their behavior is acceptable or forgivable, but in their world it is. P forgave R for all that he did and R accepts when she wants to beat him with a stick bc he p*ssed her off.
They play the woman’s scenes as comedy bc of the misogynistic view that women are too weak to actually beat men - hence its “funny” when they try bc they won’t ever dish out real harm.
I am a fan of both characters and will often point out both their faults. But the whole purpose of my point is just to highlight that we cannot force characters to think and react how we want them to. At the end of the day, ITV is not here to be an educational series. We are not supposed to learn anything from it. And so to expect it to be politically correct is a lost cause IMO.
We are watching the show in the universe THE CVs want to show it in. We can’t ignore their norms to appease our own moral compass. If it goes against what we can tolerate, it’s just best not to watch.
Something no one really speaks about - They’re showing Raghav in brown face. Multiple times. And at times when he’s cosplaying as a worker. I have not seen one post about this complaining about how problematic that is. It’s as if it didn’t even register as an issue to people. But for me? I despised it. I’m American - this is a highly sensitive topic for me. And I know colorism exists in the Indian subcontinent. So how did this just blow over everyone’s head ? Is it bc it’s something we’ve accepted as a norm in ITV comedy tracks? I think so. That’s why no one seemed to really bat an eye about that. But I let it go bc it’s just a show and it doesn’t affect my life. This is what is happening, so ok, my choices are to keep watching or turn it off.
To truly tackle any of these issues in media, one actually has to tackle the culture & society from which it comes from first.
The incident you spoke about is unfortunate. But those are the same incidents that IMO divert the blame from the individual to something that is essentially, art. While media influences behavior, it doesn’t make the individual exempt from being accountable for their behavior. The movie did not force the individual to watch it or learn from it. I don’t agree with the courts decision in that case. Unless they could prove that the individual was also mentally impaired/imbalanced where it affected his decision making and thinking skills, it sounds like a cop out to me.

Are the way he went it on for the kiss and Pallavi smiled shoving him back showed that it definitely wasn't their first. Pallavi shoved in because it wasn't the time for romance according to her also because she lovesss teasing her husband too
@bold: true true. I forgot about the blurred kiss on Manglagaur 🤣 . Here he went in as if it was normal so yup def not the first time. Thank you for making me see the light. … must watch that scene again. ☺️ I just wish they’d “fake” show it ☺️☺️.

today's one I was definitely convinced that they have implied that they are that close now and it's very everyday thing for him

Del double post
To be honest, I’ve generally just decided to watch the show in a lighthearted manner. The only reason I’ve been ranting on here was bc I felt like there was a huge disconnect between both sides of today’s debate. I was going to go into the edt to say all of this but I don’t have the time. It’s already way past my bed time 🤣👵🏽.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong in voicing ur views or having issues with what is shown. But if it’s something that’s affecting one so much that they need to argue back and forth and back and forth about it - then it’s like, maybe they should take a step back. It’s just fiction as you said. We don’t need to let it eat our brains. Rather than that happening, it’s better to just cut the losses and stop watching a show that is so infuriating to oneself.
fail. Forgot got to tag.
