I binge-watched the Empire show on HotstaršŸ˜†

Man, so many Didi type characters in that too.....lol women who feel ENTITLED to manipulate others to get what they want.....bahut Didi deja vu ho raha tha especially woh Babur ki second wife ko dekh kar......lol

Baaki DD had a decent role as Khanzaada.....matlab dimaag lagaa ke she outwitted her way out of many tough situations.....her track with Shaibani Khan was thoda mixed bag but I liked that she had brains.

I dunno why people are calling it a cheap copy of GoT....lol this battle for the throne is age old...GoT ka copyright nahin is storyline pe. Anyways I thought they did a decent job of the story even though it's slow in bits......the focus of the story is on the struggle between compassion and ruthlessness in how to get to the throne and rule a kingdom.....Babur is quite confused about this throughout the series.....lol.....and so many people constantly calling him weak......itne jhatke khaa ke bhi end tak he was confused on the same issues.....thoda Adi ki yaad aa rahi thi ki log tumhein saamne se manipulate kar rahe hain phir bhi tum sharaafat ke putle bane baithe rahošŸ˜†.

Kaafi hadh tak Babur owed his successes to Khanzaada - his older sister literally watching over him many times.....lol matlab behen na hoti toh yeh toh emotional fool/weak impulsiveness mein hardly kuch manage karta.....so that way it was nice that they had a brother-sister dynamic wala angle.

I guess they shot a lot of this is in Turkey....woh blue mosaic type palaces all looked like they are from Turkey.....but nice grand locations for many of the sequences.

Also worth noting that they didn't go in the typical zone of gratuitous sex scenes....koi bhi waisa scene tha hi nahin despite being a web series.....yeah there was gore and violence, but that's about it.

So many TV actors had roles in this.....lol one of the wazir characters was the guy who played woh Jhanvi ka ex lover in IB for that one epi....I've seen him in other TV shows too but can't place kahaan.....then woh Gracy from the recent Sony show played the younger Khanzaada.....Rahul Dev bhi tha as the trusted advisor of Babar.

Thanks for the review will try to check it out but to me looks like a cheap copy of Turkish show ertugal and that is a class apart everything was just way way way too much similar but good if they managed to make an OK show haha at didi type charct pro at maniulpulating I think it is getting backlash caz babar hai and nugghals hain and anything about anything muslim is automatic boycott saw Uninstaller hotstar and boycott empire trending mehh.. I can't tell if asli turkey hai ke CGI. Itns bada kahan se mouth kareinge but yeah it is now showing under ertugal search too ..like tbey legit copy pasted everything the whole set the ambiance the looks it is too hard to miss that they are trying to take credit away since this became such a worldwide success and esp after being on Netflix last year and trending so much

https://youtu.be/keIL3ckWJwM

And this promo looked too much like eoh padmavat too the setup the costumes the looks..as if padmavat ka hi set ho šŸ˜† esp dino moria

So I don't really care about Turkish shows cuz mujhe unki history/language mein itna interest nahinšŸ˜†

This was in my interest cuz it is connected to the history of India.....and woh saare conquerers same area se aaye from the Persian side....so Turkish logon ka copyright nahin hai ki unka background hi waisa dikh sakta haišŸ˜†

Mujhe toh nahin lagaa Padmaavat jaise.....lol people think every "barbarian" character is like Ranveer ka character from that movie.....lol like uska copyright hai on portraying a character that has those features and wears warlords jaise costumes.....jab same region ke characters hain toh waise hi dikhenge.

I thought Dino Morea did a decent job of his role....it wasn't as loud and mad as Ranveer's role in Padmavat jisko sab log benchmark bol bol ke pakaa chuke hain mujhe franklyšŸ˜†

As far as I can tell they did shoot at some real locations even if baaki kaafi kuch CGI tha......but I don't think they had the budget to actually build that fancy a palace set.....toh mujhe real location hi lag raha hai from Turkey.

Arre mijhe nahi pata maine bhi nahi dekha the Turkish show even the dubbed versions toošŸ˜† Infact main toh pakk gayi thi with it on constant binge since it has some 10 seasons of about 150+ episodes each and the OTTvhype it got that one summer .. but I know it became quite a rage. .. mujhe nahi attract kia. Baaki yeh bhi ofcourse mugghals have such a history and just caz they did some bad things doesn't undo it.. history remains they have contributed establishing our entire region. And it was all about the establishment if ottoman empire how they preloaded their roots which then gave way for the mugggals etc .

About ranveer toh well I hate padmavat and I wholeheartedly agree so over rated and overhyped.. naine bas look main bola am no fab of tbat film or ranveeer'a act in it infact my least favorite of his and I have even forgotten it .

My response was strictly based on the look and what I read on Twitter and was laughing over it I just found it way too much similar. Copyright ki baat nahi hai..they gave gone down to same color tones same palletes same exact costumes etc for the females so the comparison was from there caz it immediately clicks and esp the timing again right after ertugal got fame when it has been out for more than 10 yrs or so but only when it got viral hotstar decided to do something. Good to know they dod a decent job.. Bas itna hišŸ˜†

😃.

Haha yeah I figured you were basing this off the knee jerk reactions on Twitter......which again makes me thankful for the 100th time ki main aajkal wahaan pe kuch khaas padhti hi nahin hoon......lol helps you view a thing on its own merit.

Costumes and color tones ke similarities are again probably cuz it's the same region na.....Persian women dressed like this only and unka kaafi kuch blue tones mein hai which you can see even now whenever any footage of Persia/Iran is shown......most of the series is based on their background of the struggle to regain their kingdoms in the mountainous regions of Persia like Samarkand and all....toh phir usi ke hisaab se costumes/sets hain.

I saw the promo you posted but then I can say I've seen costumes like this for Persian women in any Hollywood movie also when they have shown the Persian background like in that Alexander waali moviešŸ˜†

They kept the vibe focused around that mountainous vibe toh usmein yehi color tones hone the mostly.

Oh btw woh SAKK waale Shaan Papaji played Babur's father in this toošŸ˜†

Again, I'm not saying it was a great series or anything......theek thaak hi thi....but I felt it had it's good moments acting/direction wise....I also liked that it was a women director directing this...gave it a different touch I feel from the typical treatment of such kind of conquest/empire waali storylines....thought they did a good job of the direction even if ending was a bit abrupt.

Mughals ki history mein bahut kuch hai explore karne ko cuz it was such a defining period in the history of the region too....so I do think they did a good job of showing a usually under-explored part of that history....how Babar managed to get to India and establish his empire in pretty difficult/precarious circumstances.....and how the story of the struggle to establish and sustain a kingdom, an empire is pretty universal.

LOL they basically seem to be remaking PR for the current age of smartphones etc....lol puraane waale mein Archana-Manav didn't see ek dusre ki shakals on a smartphonešŸ˜†

Baaki toh wohi chhaate wagairah waale tropes repeat kar rahe hain.....chemistry toh nahin hai waisi but cringe bhi nahin hai toh I guess it's ok.....I just don't get the point of remaking the same story and only changing the ML.....lol is it just a random nostalgia trip for Ekta and Ankita? šŸ˜†

LOL he basically is shown to be a very kind-hearted man who everyone considers too "weak" as a ruler.....Babar looks up to his father but seems slightly smarter than himšŸ˜†

I dunno if this will count as a spoiler but doesn't look like you are intending to watch so I'll tell you anywaysšŸ˜†

Babar's father dies in the middle of the first episode....lol basically there is an earthquake in Ferghana where the family lived at that time and Shabana Azmi who plays his MIL - both of them are about to fall off a cliff and holding on to the edge waiting to be rescued....toh she lets go of his hand deliberately because she feels Babar will make a better ruler. She then lives with that guilt all her life.

Babar's father is shown to be all into poetry and stuff and talks to Babar about Hindustan a lot toh wahin se Babar has the dream about wanting to go to Hindustan and establish their kingdom there.

I watched it and went huh idk kuch generic bhinjahi hai feel even for smartphone type junta.mthey literally repeated the rain scene with šŸŒ‚ giving almost same tab khana khilaya tha ek kid ko dono ne and isko šŸŒ‚ di thi manav ne.. but it just doesn't have the essence of original either and even a kiya looks so zoned out.. bas they wanted to cash into the whole ssr angle wohi lag raha gai mujhe and I I not even sure it is Balaji doesn't seem like it is.. ca then apne platform pe stream karte na..they anyways have a partnership but seems maha flop ..actually nothing memorable even the saathiya music didn't bring any of the nostalgia factor bhi
