Raghav never wants his money back, especially from someone to whom he has thrown money as a display of power. When Raghav didn't fuss about Pallavi paying him back for the keḷavaṇa gifts, and for the taxi to Bangalore, those were signs that he was learning to compromise out of respect for Pallavi. Similarly, Raghav controlled his reaction to Vijay promising to pay him back for Sharada's surgery, because Raghav's motive this time wasn't to display power or compassion; Raghav's motive was to save his Āī's life. The old Raghav would have mocked Vijay's inability to pay him back "aura attitude karoḍoṃ kā," or at least declared that Raghav Rao doesn't accept payment for what he gives. Instead, Raghav was hurt that even after he said, "Vo merā Āī hai," Vijay regarded him as an outsider, but Raghav let it go for the sake of solidarity.
Raghav handled Sharada's life-or-death situation much better than Jaya's. When Vijay was sobbing, the way Raghav looked at him helplessly and clenched his fists conveyed without any dialogue that Raghav feels protective of Vijay, not just concerned for Sharada.
Raghav who paid for a nameless taxi driver's medical treatment, just because Pallavi had possibly died in that taxi, would never think of dunning Pallavi's family just because she divorced him. Raghav does lose his temper and call the whole family by insulting names, but he has genuine affection for Sharada and even for Vijay. He wouldn't make that conditional on what Pallavi does.
