I think more than his acting skills or looks it's his willingness to accept his shortcomings and work on them is what makes Sai more close to the our hearts.

This trait is true for the character plays too. ❤️

May be that's what make RR character more relatable as the one who is playing the character owned it up. This what happens when an actor gets to understand the characters he plays and sympathizes with it

Sai hasn't just understood the character but has internalized it. It took him sometime to get into depth of emotional side of RR but the moment he did , he literally started living the character. Now Sai is RR to the entire length of episode.

It's you again 😆

You have your ways with words

Brilliant description 👏

I was worried too, we calling him pirate, daku, parody Ranveer Singh..

But the makers took care of the details, and gave a proper background to his getup.

And SKR carried the look with so much grace that there are no questions left..

Though I have different view regarding the FLs than you,

I found pall to be diff than usual, typical FL, she is smart and at times not so smart, she is brave, she is honest, she has the will to match Raghav Rao, to stand with him and to stand against him....

Thank you for writing this ..

would like to see you at SKR AT

Statutory Warning - If you are not a Sai Ketan Rao/Raghav Rao fan....put your hands up, turn around and slowly step away!!

I had dreaded this episode, to be honest, cringing at the thought of Raghav being more ridiculed than he already was, turned into a caricature, a joke dressed in outlandish costumes and bathed in exaggerated mannerisms. It promised to be a circus by the looks of it ( that precap), a death knell for this show!! I was confident they will bring this actor and character down on his knees with this cliched and predictable turn of events.

But today he brought me down on my knees and I don't mind going down on one knee for him too 😉!! Ketan turned the tables on each and every one of us know-it-all sceptics. He proved that a fine actor owes all he does and if a performer knows his job, he can pull off any character with a finesse and panache that can take breaths away!!

Very few, I believe, could have done what he did today!! Or rather has been doing from day one of this show.

An unfortunate and ironic fact for us intelligent women of today is ...we watch the show for the man. Shocking, tragic but true!! Because majority of Indian TV female leads are not worth a second look. They are all the same kind, self-sacrificing, mahaan, jagat matas, putting everyone first, self- righteous, paragons of virtue and high morales, unidimensional, saree clad, gehno ki dukaan...blah blah..I can go on and on but you get the picture, we all do.

And the men get all the meat, they get to have all the fun!! They have the opportunity to be creative, they have the good fortune to portray the whole spectrum of emotions. If you are looking for power, for flawed perfection, for humane qualities of failure, arrogance, pride, manipulation, selfishness, look at the man!! (And this is the main reason why I can identify with them more than the females). The hero has it all, the looks, the role and the attitude coz they are the real TRP pullers!! (How I hate to say this as a woman)

But in this legion, Ketan is in a class of his own!!

The way Raghav Rao has been enacted has been sheer brilliance from day one!! An actor's performance is never one directional and he made it clear from his first shot. The voice, its modulation, the speech, dialect, accent, the body language, the stance, the way one walks, even stands, eyes, face, expression, the hands..every part and particle of your being can add to your performance, every damn minute fibre of your existence can create an onscreen persona...and all this and a lot more was Ketan's clear message!!

So easy to overact when you have an OTT character like Raghav Rao to perform. There is nothing subtle about Raghav, he is so loud, so attention seeking, so in your face yet Ketan gave him such clout, such raw power. He got Raghav respect, he gave him dignity and made him likeable and eventually lovable. He made us stand up and take notice everytime Raghav entered the screens. Raghav's addition to any scene ensured a solid performance, he got the hearts racing, the adrenalin pumping and to say that it was all due to his looks would be an injustice and that's an understatement. Such sheer screen presence!! Raghav was such a fine balancing act and Ketan created a masterpiece!!

No words can do justice to an actors fine perfomance so coming to today...he was overdressed to the core, yet carried it off with such ease and confidence. His swagger was worth a look!! Hats off to the guy who can make even this look sexy!! When you owe it, you show it!!

And his entry in the D asylum..fire!! He had just one eye to emote with and emote he did...get goosebumps when I remember how he wouldn't take his eye off Pallavi. The intensity of that gaze, the heat of passion in that eye..the changing moods. First his shock, his concern. He clearly depicted Raghav's state of turmoil! Then his relief and a second of disappointment when she couldn't recognise him. Mandar and Sanki, everyone trying to grab his attention, but no he would not allow any of that. Then his love, his adoration. Then his hate and disgust, indifference towards Mandar. The cherry on the top how he shoved him off without taking his gaze of Pallavi, the message loud n clear - I give a hoot about you dude, I am here for her, get lost!! That one eye even reflected his badass attitude 🤣 And it send shivers down my spine. How in the world can someone act with one, only one eye yaar?

And what body launguage!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think that me and Kaku will be on the same page but man..does this man look royal!! He drips royalty, makes one and all believe that he is no ordinary man. And all of this without his face or facial expressions or voice, none of the standard actors tools at his disposal and he still manages to convey it all with an eye and a body..wow!!

A zillion reasons to walk away from this show but only one is still enough to keep me here..Sai Ketan Rao!!

P.S. Not a hormonal teenager, so don't like to drool over actors (characters are fine) but have to give credit where it's due!!

I have been reading you analysis on some of the male actors and their character. You write in words, what I think in my thoughts. I still remember you analysis on Manik. (I don't know if you are same person or not, but reading you feels like you are).

You are so on point about Sai Ketan. The man is Raghav Rao, he lives and breathes RR. Love him to the core.

You are right, about male characters, they have all the fun. I still watch and will always watch any movie, webseries or serial only for the Hero.

There are so few Heros who are so cleverly portrayed. They are just lion among men. Manik Malhotra was one who I still crave for, because he was so deliciously witty and just all round awesome. And now we have Raghav Rao, who is so in your face awesome. One was Lucifer and one is Hades. No comparison, but just admiring Heros who are tedha but hamara hain. No questions, that their counterparts are and were awesome as well.

You may not openly drool but I am no such qualms, teenager or not, will drool for a Hero like Raghav Rao... drool away gals, he is so worth it!!!

You are not alone, the face is an added bonus!! ☺️And of course the body too but for all of us its about performance first!! We have seen plenty of good looking men with great bodies but what gets us raving is one eye!! 🤪

Because of sai we tolerate all these nonsense

As u said these whole track piece of joke yet sai stands tall to hold on to show and hold us back to just watch him play Raghu the way he does

No sai no show period no matter how good others are sai is the one will be last one

His chemistry with shivangi and swag of Raghu makes the show

But lately it’s missing but Raghu face is holding us back otherwise no one in interested in this trash track

I keep saying this again nd again. Sai is the find of the year for ITV. He has literally got it all. The look , the body , the smile that can kill , expressive eyes , acting prowess ( his emotional scenes hit home ) and a tremendous screen presence.

He has made MHRW his .No offense to Shivangi.....she is a gem . But there are shows which can be carried by just heroine and family drama. But just bcz of Sai.....every episode of this show is incomplete without him in it.

I should not have read this yet...

I don't get to watch the episode until much later and I am literally shaking with the urge to watch it abhi ke abhi!

Not a hormonal teenager either, so I no longer drool over actors and their characters like I used to, but Sai deserves every bit of praise and then some for Raghav. He certainly isn't just a pretty face. His expressions, gestures, stares, posture, voice modulation - I mean, he manages to tie every little nuance together to make Raghav Rao complete.

His emotional scenes are a class apart. When was the last time I cried with an ITV male lead? Perhaps never. The strong and sturdy Raghav Rao has a heart that bleeds for his loved ones and he isn't afraid to show it. That's a very fragile layer of Raghav's character and Sai brings it to the forefront with such ease, such sensitivity that I'm often jumping from my seat to the screen to give this burly man a big hug!

This also explains why everyone on set says he typically keeps to himself or remains in his RR mode. It's not easy to pull RR off in the first place and Sai must have to stay in character for the better half of his shoot to be able to ace his shots. That's unapologetic professionalism. and a genuine passion for his job.

You covered everything about Sai and Raghav so there's not much left for me to add, but my biggest takeaway is that we watch ITV shows for the men. They have more room to play, more room to make mistakes, more room to experiment, and more room to bounce back. It's the grey that they all play that draws me to them. Not trying to take away from the rest of the team's efforts or Shivangi's performance of Pallavi. Nobody else could've pulled her off the way she is, but I'm solely here for Sai as Raghav. This man is going places, no two ways about it!

P.S. Sandip (for all his quirks and the nuisance he spewed this past month smiley36) also deserves a fair share of acknowledgement for finding Sai. 👏
