The episode continued from where we left off, with Raghav's stress and desperation increasing as he had spent the last two hours trying to figure out what to do to protect Pallavi. He finally lost his patience, grabbed the gun from the drawer and stormed out with the aim to shoot Mandaar. Amma and Farhad chased after Raghav because they knew that if they didn't stop him he would cause some irreversible damage.
Note: I will say this again, they seem to have guns all over the place in random drawers. It's a good thing there are no kids in the house, but if an enemy entered RR mansion, they'd have access to a weapon quite easily.
Farhad was not going to let Raghav leave the mansion and stood as a physical barrier to his exit, disobeying his Anna and not stepping aside. Raghav struck him down but that didn't deter Farhad from grabbing Raghav's leg to physically stop him from stepping out of the mansion in that murderous rage. Amma managed to grab the gun out of Raghav's hand and he only stilled when she fired the bullet (quite an unsafe thing to do, but I get that the wanted that dramatic flair in the scene!). The servants appeared out of nowhere but she sent them away perhaps because she didn't want anyone witnessing this scene or to be scared of the gunshot (they live with the Raos so I guess they are already willing to risk working for a don).
I hate this temper of yours, she yelled. You don't try to think or understanding anything. You make a decision and stubbornly follow through with it without thinking about the consequences. Raghav slammed
What more can I say about this scene that hasn't already been discussed? We saw the BTS and the amount of effort the three of them put in was clearly visible. Even if we hadn't you could feel the sheer power of the performance come through the screen. The three actors were brilliant but you could see the powerhouse that Geeta ji is, especially. đ
The CVs reminded us once again how similar mother and son are, where Raghav gets his anger, temperament, and strength of character from. Amma was clearly the real don of Hyderabad. Jaisa beta waisi maa.
She's typically not shown as the mollycoddling type of mother but her fear for her son's safety and future clearly showed in her outburst. She has lost enough because of Raghav's short-sighted decisions in the past and she wasn't about to let him destroy his future and break the family apart again. I am glad she didn't opt for typical emotional blackmail i.e. qasam, rather she said, go ahead and do what you want, destroy everything and go to jail. The rest of us are going to be very happy (while you are locked up for life).
We have seen this time and again. The Raos' tragedy was in large part a result of Raghav not thinking about the consequences of his actions and 10 years later, he was still having trouble in his life because of his bullheadedness. It is no secret that I have been disappointed with the way they handled his "reconciliation" with Amma. It was too soon and still on the surface level, with none of the trauma being addressed head on.
This scene actually reassured me that the writers haven't forgotten about it, because in her outburst, Jaya touched upon one of the problematic areas. However, she didn't talk about her own anger, which had also contributed to the estrangement. At some point in the story they should link this to how it affected Keerti being torn between mother and brother.
They had always beautifully used the maa song for Raghav to depict his sense of helplessness at being unable to bridge the gap with his mother and the longing to have his family back . The song speaks of how a son feels his mother's essence in his very soul, and how she shields him from the world. Yet, when Raghav needed his mother she'd abandoned him because her own grief had taken too strong a hold on her heart and mind. Granted, he had made a grave mistake but has paid for it many times over as his soul continues to torment him even today. Amma had lost her soul mate and her youngest child, she went through trauma herself, but as a mother her anger towards Raghav overpowered her love for him in his formative years. He ended up becoming a bit of a loose canon as a result, which we see at times like this.
I remember writing about this during the reconciliation scene in the Hyderabad schedule.
Jab mein ghabraya, tab tu apnaya
Teri chunri hi saaya tha, maa
The irony is that Amma actually wasn't there for Raghav when he needed her most, when he must have been afraid and distraught, broken by what had happened to his family. She never paused to think of the trauma he must have gone through because of the deaths and her holding him responsible for them
And then these lines that followed that perfectly described Raghav's feelings for his mother:
Mere rag rag mein, tera naam hai maa
Tu hi mere dil ki saans ho maa
Raghav was shunned, abandoned, and ill-treated by his mother but he never stopped loving her, respecting her, caring for her, longing for her, and supporting her silently. He has said a few times that Amma was his jaan and we have seen it time and again.
Please read my earlier if you want more context on what I'm talking about here.

A lot has been said about Raghav hitting Farhad. First of all, it was not deliberately done with the purpose of hurting Farhad physically or emotionally. Raghav was a like a raging bull who was seeing red at that moment, totally out of his mind, which is exactly why Farhad chased after him to stop him from making a grave mistake. He has obviously seen his Anna's fury over the years and the destruction it must have brought. While those were business dealings, this was his Anna's personal life and he wasn't about to let him throw it all away in a fit of rage, no matter what it took. He couldn't stop Raghav from going so he held on to his leg to physically stop him. We know Farhad is physically strong but Raghav was in beast mode ready to burn the world down along with himself.
Amma may look tiny but she reminded us once again that she was a firebrand of her own, grabbing the gun from him. Firing it was a little bit dramatic, but fine, I get what they were trying to show. I loved the way Geeta ji emoted here, her angry tears seeming to jump out of her eyes as she admonished her son. If there's one person who can put a full stop to his tirades, it's his mother. She is his jaan and the person he loves and respects most in the world and her lioness' anger was enough to remind him that he was just a cub in front of her, who had to back down. As the haze of his anger cleared slightly he listened to what she was saying but his frustration at being unable to make a tactical move at the moment had him slamming his palm against the pillar.
I have to applaud the camera work here for the way they showed Farhad and Amma standing behind him. All three of them were battling their emotions, feeling a common pain, knowing that this was very difficult time for everyone, but still very much each other's support through all the anger. I fell more in love with Farhad today for his unwavering support and devotion to his Anna. He was in tears, not for himself, but because he couldn't see his Anna and Amma like this.
Amma knew her son had crossed his limits by hitting Farhad (I wonder if this was the first time Raghav had hit him). She immediately apologized to him on her son's behalf, which Farhad of course brushed away saying no, please (there was no need for her to apologize). You could see Farhad shaking with emotion, and this really got me because even in tough times Farhad has managed to keep his cool. This Mandaar issue has riled him up too because of late we've been seeing his anger with Mandaar for what he was doing to their family. You could see him visibly collecting himself before walking up to Raghav to put a reassuring hand on his shoulder, and in a gentle voice pleading with him to see reason.
These lines really made me emotional.
Anna, aap jo chaahe woh kar sakte hain mere saath, lekin Anna main haath jodta hoon, please shaant ho jao Anna. â¤ď¸
This gave Raghav pause and he then stormed off into his room. Farhad was still visibly upset about the situation and walked off too, leaving Amma all shaken and wondering what to do next.
As everyone has been saying, Raghav is blessed to have a friend, a brother like Farhad who's undying loyalty and love for him is are to find these days. It is unconditional, pure, and precious. It's moments like these that remind you why Farhad is on the list of people who Raghav would sacrifice himself for. I really love this character and want to see more of him on screen with Raghav. â¤ď¸
Mandaar and Sunny are stupid. If they want to weaken Raghav they need to just attack Farhad or Raghav's bond with Farhad. If that breaks, so will Raghav. Farhad was there for him when no one else was. I am guessing they met as teenagers when Raghav first moved to Hyderabad and have seen ups and downs together.
Don't hate me for this, but this scene made me change my mind and showed me why Farhad would be the right life partner for Keerti. Not only would she find a loyal husband but a very understanding and patient man who would know how to handle her with all her flaws and trauma, since he knows everything about the Raos and accepted them the way they are. She needs a man who can love her unconditionally and protect her, make her feel needed and wanted, and I know Farhad is that man. He is already family and the transition for him would be a no-brainer. No idea where the makers will go with this because Sunny will be exposed on day.
Keerti's phone ringing gave Amma (i.e. the good guys) a chance to eavesdrop on her conversation for a change and confirm her suspicion that Keerti was the not-so-discreet mole in the house. She decided to use it to her advantage by deliberately passing on information that she wanted Sunny/Mandaar to hear. You could see where Raghav inherited his smarts from. If only he'd use them.
Sunny on the other hand, reminded us why he was the smartest person on the show (for now). He has never lost his focus, and true to form he had begun investigating Pallavi's past. It was important for him to find out what was driving Mandaar because Sunny is the kind of person who relies on brain over brawn. Knowledge is power and he wields the knowledge of people's weaknesses and motivations against them. In this regard he is very similar to Raghav (who I am hoping will resurface at some point).
I don't know why Pallavi couldn't have just told Mandaar that she wasn't comfortable getting close to him before they were married when he came (three times) to ask her for a massage. She should have said no using her feminine charm. Anyway, I don't want to talk about the massage scene... Hawa mein filter.
Farhad was excited to see Amma's rakhi preparations because he knew how much it would mean to Raghav if Keerti tied a rakhi on his hand this year, a new rakhi, but she was in too much of a rush to wait for her brother to wake up (I'm not surprised).
I was happy to see Farhad smiling and again caring for his Anna because it showed that he hadn't taken Raghav's words and actions to heart the night before. Raat gayi baat gayi, no ego getting in between them. However, like many viewers, I would like to see Raghav make amends for it by apologizing or some other means. Farhad won't demand or expect it but he deserves it. He cannot take Farhad for granted, and Farhad isn't just a regular employee. He has been Raghav's rock all these years and would give his life for him if necessary. I would also like to see them having a proper conversation one day where Raghav expresses how important Farhad is in his life. They both know it but sometimes things need to be verbalized. I will cheer that day. Please CVs. â¤ď¸
So Amma's idea was to misinform Keerti so that Mandaar would go to Chaarminar, leaving room for Pallavi to sneak out and meet Raghav, and put him at ease. Keerti will now be used by both sides because she refuses to see the truth. Her fall is going to be hard but we know Raghav will be there to pick up the pieces, as usual.
Interestingly enough, even though no one told Pallavi what Amma's plan was, she seized the opportunity to sneak out and go to RR mansion as it was the first thing on her mind. While Amma couldn't sleep all night after seeing Raghav's rage, he seemed to have been sleeping like a baby, dreaming of Pallavi. I don't know if he'd tossed and turned all night or spent most of it drinking before falling asleep but he seemed too calm for someone who'd had a storm inside him the night before. I get that they were trying to prove that seeing Pallavi has a calming effect on him, not to mention that seeing her at RR mansion made him less worried for her safety.
Still, I think it is high time Raghav get to work and think strategically about what to do with Mandaar, instead of focusing on short-term tactical moves. He has all the resources at his disposal and Amma and Farhad strongly supporting him and guiding him, so I hope he will now start doing his due diligence and coming up with a plan B too.
The bedroom scene with Raghav and Pallavi was average in terms of chemistry but I just went with the flow as I don't expect much from such scenes these days. The screenplay and camera work was brilliant, though. This is to answer to fans' demands, show Pallavi in western clothing, and highlight that she was longing for her husband too.
His teasing comment about her not being able to wait even 24 hours before wanting to see him again reminded me of when he had asked her if she had put up a tent outside his house because she kept dropping by all the time. Back then he was annoyed, this time he was excited like a kid.
Sai has great bedroom eyes and the perfect husky morning voice so I'm sure it had the women swooning. You must have noticed the way the camera panned across his forearm, up his biceps, giving us a great view of his side profile and the loverboy look on Raghav's face. As he held her arm, she asked him if he would stop her by force. We all know that no matter how much he'd want her by her side, he'd never force her, even though he was raving mad last night and wanted to bring her home at any cost. This was to show the contrast with Mandaar, who has effectively placed her under house arrest. It also showed that she was now comfortable enough to play those teasing games of love where she wanted him to stop her and spend time with her, steal these moments away from the eyes of the cruel world. Clandestine and courtship is what they are serving us since this couple never had the chance to go through that in their relationship. The inability to be close to one another is being used to create such moments for them.
The scene is likely to continue in the next episode, and I hope they will have some meaningful conversation about the next steps.
Precap:
I know the veil scene has everyone curious about its significance and I have been wondering if this is the throwback to the cage scene that a lot of people wanted.
Mandaar wants Pallavi to burn Raghav's photo. I don't think he believes that burning the photo without remorse is concrete proof that she has no interest in Raghav, but he is testing her limits and playing mind games with her.
PS I haven't proofread this so please excuse any errors.
