Keerti is absolutely nuts! I was working on as OS with her as a positive character, but I have no motivation to continue that. Her character arc has gone down the drain! She went from an independent young woman to a royal lunatic!

masin, I am working on a fan fiction in which Kirti gets to express her feelings in words instead of just her cartoonish facial expressions on the show. Kirti is a working woman (she still goes to the office as far as I know), and her earnings allowed her Ammā to live with dignity when she disapproved of Raghav. Now, Ammā is fine with spending Raghav's ill-gotten money and dolling up with her new daughter Pallavi; thus, Kirti is expected to live in Raghav's home as an afterthought of the family, take expensive gifts from Raghav, who slaps her if she tells him off, and allow him to plan her wedding. Shouldn't Kirti be angry?

Kirti was fine with Sunny's idea to live together without marriage, except that Ammā and Raghav wouldn't approve. Ammā used to tell Raghav that she trusts Kirti; Kirti doesn't have to tell her who her male friends are; if Kirti needs protection from Akash, she has Ammā and Raghav should desist from matchmaking ... and now, that same Ammā is disrespecting the fact that Kirti is taken. Never mind that Sunny is a loser and he was ready to violate Kirti with his drugged pasta; Kirti has every right to feel offended that her decision - hers alone - isn't respected.

Why is there one rule for Pallavi choosing Raghav who has committed intentional crimes against her and others (plus drunk driving on at least two occasions), and another rule for Kirti choosing Sunny who accidentally hit someone while driving drunk, and drove away?

The show could have made Kirti responsible for the hit-and-run without losing her positive character traits. I wish the creative team had made the effort.

Raghav used to subsidize their expenses without them knowing and Kirti used to run to Raghav whenever there is any issue … be it Amma in hospital or jail.. even now for her sake Raghav was ready to sacrifice himself and jail without hesitation and without a second thought about his reputation…

Raghav did slap kirti but once when she was trying to elope… I am not sure whether raghav slapped her when she spoke ill about him just before her birthday… but she instigated him a lot..(I am not defending him but I felt that Kirti is also not that saint)

Yes Amma told Raghav to not to interfere in Kirti’s life and she trusts her and she has no boyfriend…

Kirti was in process of running away when Amma first got to know that Kirti had a boyfriend .. secondly she wanted to go in Live-in relationship

thirdly the guy she claims to be her bf, has insulted amma just few days ago.. she did not like the guy ..

and Amma did blame Raghav at that point that due to irresponsible (nalayak) him, she lost her well-behaved (layak) daughter .. then Pallavi made her see another side of coin.. and then only she accepted Raghav..

also, Kirti took pride and even boasted to Sunny about the fact that Raghav is way too possessive for her and doesn’t like any guy who even look at her (typical big brother trait)

she only got pissed when she got to know that Raghav tried to buy him off .. and later became happy when Raghav agreed for the match .. so she always had this yo-yo personality … its not like her wishes are not respected…

I don’t recall Raghav drunk driving, first time Farhad was driving when he picked Pallavi from the road,

recently also he took a driver along after award function fiasco…

may be I missed any occasion but do mention that…

The problem is not with only running away, there are other flaws as well.. he is rude to Kirti.. where Kirti was desperately trying to save him, he never once tried to back her up and even made plans to flew the country leaving her behind..

one cannot compare Raghav and Sunny .. Raghav does a lot of mistakes but he owns up to them… he doesn’t run away like a coward Sunny..

I know that Raghav gave "scholarships" to Kirti, but as you said, Kirti and Jaya didn't know, so it's not their fault. I wouldn't say that Kirti ran to Raghav; she tried to respect Raghav's concern and Jaya's principles, so she pleaded with Jaya to let Raghav help, and kept Raghav away to avoid upsetting Jaya. Kirti was caught in the middle.

Raghav once told Sulochana that he doesn't hit women. Then he slapped Kirti on two occasions. The first time should have woken him up; he has to change what he does in order to be who he says he is. I appreciate that Raghav feels bad sometimes, and he tries to pay damages or do something nice to make amends, but he acts as if the little people should forgive him for a price, and he doesn't try very hard to do better next time.

February 18 episode:

Raghav was driving drunk with Anjali standing up through the car roof holding her drink, Farhad and Harish in the back seat, just before he rear-ended Pallavi and they met for the first time.

April 6 episode:

Raghav held an uncorked bottle in front of Pallavi outside his empty car; he then drove faster than the men who had Pallavi at gunpoint, but we didn't actually see him drink or act inebriated.

April 24 episode:

Raghav was drunk and still drinking as he got out of the driver's side of his car to see the graffiti on Kirti's house, and he was drinking heavily earlier at home. He drove himself home after that.

July 1 and 2 episodes:

Raghav was drunk when he came home after a visit to the shed where he kept the car from Mandar's accident, and he dismissed his driver - keeping his car - as soon as he got to the remote shed, implying that he drove himself home while drinking.

I like the character of Raghav without denying his flaws/crimes/sins, and I don't see anything likable about Sunny, but this is about the women who love them. 😳 The bottom line for me is that Kirti has the right to ruin her own life, just as Pallavi does. I'd like to see both of them make better choices.
