This is going to be a shorter one because the episode felt mostly like a filler to me and I found nothing interesting there. Pallavi and Amruta ended up going to the parlor with BWA, and Amruta managed to give Farhad a cryptic message. Raghav was smart enough to decipher it, that there was someone else accompanying them to the parlor. He knows the Ds so well that he knew right away it would be BWA. Smart boy! It also made him realize that Mandaar doesn't fully trust that he wouldn't try to contact Pallavi.
There was a whole sequence on them trying to distract BWA so that Pallavi could sneak out and meet Raghav. I'm not going to bother going into much detail because I found nothing of interest there.
Keerti hugged Sunny in front of Amma, and his smirk didn't go well with Amma. He had lost all sense of shame and was openly challenging his "to-be" MIL. Ugh... I don't know what purpose this served except to tip Sunny off that Raghav and Pallavi were meeting up. Sunny has been hell-bent on making sure Raghav and Pallavi separate and that Mandaar marries her, as this would clear his path and allow him to marry Keerti for her property. Or so we think. I can't tell, with this guy.
Mandaar is going to doubt himself over and over because somewhere he knows he's forcing Pallavi. She may assure him that she chose him, but all these 'clues' about Raghav and she still being together will keep bothering him.
The less I say about Raghav and Pallavi meeting in the park, the better. I had previously wanted a filmy scene where she'd run to him and he'd scoop her up in his arms. Technically, we got that, but there was no chemistry, no emotion that I could connect to. The execution and camera work was disappointingly poor, not what I expect from this team who usually knock it out of the park with such things (pun intended).
Don't even get me started on the slow motion. Women running in such scenarios still look good but men running in slow motion for such scenes never worked for me, and this was no exception. It's not about Sai, just the execution didn't work. Perhaps it's also because women just look much better running in slow motion to meet their lovers than men do. I also prefer it when one person runs and the other waits with open arms, not when they both run, but that's just me. I'm sure loads of people enjoyed the scene and it gave the fandom plenty of opportunity to gush at #RaghVi. Aur maango RaghVi screen time. I get the logic - they were happy to see each other after being cut off from communication and just wanted to hold each other for a bit, oblivious to the world around them until they realized people were staring at them. Emotionally, I felt nothing, which is becoming increasingly common on the show.
The only bright spot (pun intended) was how the sun seemed to peak through the clouds on that rainy day as they held each other, as their meeting brightened up their respective days. Nice touch there but still the entire running and hugging scene made me cringe. I don't know how Sai did that. đ
It was refreshing to see her tell Raghav everything and be straight to the point, instead of what we typically see on ITV where people are beating about the bush, wasting precious time in such situations. I saw the BTS video of that scene and was impressed how they managed to convince us that it was a real park and no the garden in front of D-house.
In parallel, Sunny had spotted Farhad, put 2 and 2 together and called Mandaar, who warned him that he'd better be right. Once both Sunny and Mandaar arrived at the meeting spot, Pallavi and Raghav started their hide and seek. Frankly, I found that ridiculous, seeing a don like Raghav, who had only a few hours ago threatened Mandaar in his den, and now running from him. Raghav wanted to confront Mandaar directly but Pallavi pulled him away. He trusted her judgement there. Yes, you can argue that they didn't want him to find out they were still together but they didn't both need to hide. Only one of them hiding would have been enough. Anyway, I know they wanted comic relief, so Pallavi dragged him into the bathroom, which Sunny noticed. I don't think he saw their faces but he was sharp enough to make them out and fully convinced it was them.
I understand the reason for inserting comedy in the middle of serious situations, as is the style of this team, but it felt contrived this time. I enjoyed seeing Raghav squirm for being in the ladies' toilet - I would have expected nothing less from him than to be uncomfortable and embarrassed in that situation. I am glad they stayed consistent with his character in this regard, as it is beneath Raghav to hide from danger, that too hiding behind women/in the ladies' toilet. Pallavi told him that he'd better not start talking about what's right and wrong, as she could write at length about his wrongdoings. This statement didn't make sense at all. He has done many wrong things over the years but this hiding in the ladies' toilet was a cheap move and a completely different sort of wrong, totally beneath him. I don't need to explain further, I'm sure you get what I mean. I am also glad they showed his confusion and disgust at the suggestion that he'd dreamt of going into a girls' washroom. We all know what he'd been doing since he headed out into the world alone at the age of 17. If nothing, think back to what he said in his ITV interview about how he had spent sleepless night and worked his back off to build up his business with only 2000 Rupees. He was a driven man and didn't have the inclination for such cheap dreams. Again, the writers showed us how he was different from other guys and what made him stand out.
Chee, kaunsa nonsense ladke log ke sath rehta hai tum, jiska itna third class sapna hai? It was genuine disgust on his face, which Pallavi thought was a pretense on his part. On top of that, she was saying such things in such a serious situation. It was similar to their banter when they hid from Lion behind a pillar in RR mansion during the Lion track.
I am sure most of us were disgusted at the sight of Sunny opening the toilet doors but we know nothing is beneath him. He zeroed in on the locked door, sure that those two were inside. Mandaar was delusional. Why on earth he was asking Raghav to open the door, I don't know. It's not as if he was Raghav's father or brother or a cop who could order him around. It also made Raghav and Pallavi hiding in the bathroom seem even more ridiculous. They're married and not committing a crime by being together, but drama ke liye kuch bhi.
I loved how Raghav instantly switched on to fighter mode as Mandaar started banging on the door. You could see his predatory instincts come out even though technically he was in the position of prey, trapped into a corner. Flight was not an option so fight it would have to be. He took out his gun in a very natural way, which shocked Pallavi for a second, until she remembered she was married to a don. She had only seen his gentle side of late and it was a reminder to her of the other side of his personality reserved for outsiders/enemies. His hulk mode was on as he pushed back on the door but was on high alert with his gun ready. (Too bad he won't get to use it on Mandaar or Sunny just yet.) It was as if all those years of roughing it out and his street training on his path to becoming a don was now called to use. It didn't seem like the first time he'd been in that situation and all that just made me hope to see a gang war or shootout scene at some point on the show.
Precap:
It appears Mandaar has a bruise on his face and most of us are assuming he was beaten up by women or a security guard for entering the ladies' toilet. Let's see..
It's not clear if Sunny got beaten too, although I'd love that. Pallavi is bound to return to the parlor before BWA knows she sneaked out. We see that annoying RaghVi precap again with Raghav in disguise. The events in the park and then the washroom must have prompted Raghav to not risk meeting Pallavi in the open. Mandaar may or may not prevent her from going out unaccompanied. Let's see.
I still maintain Sunny is the sharpest of the lot. His mind is always clear and he never loses sight of his goal, which we are yet to learn about. I know it seems like he's a gold digger but something tells me he's playing a much bigger game. I like the chracter consisitency here. At least Raghav now knows that Sunny is helping Mandaar, but will he know that his sister is aware of this too, or will he blinded by his love for her again? Let's see.
