See, if Mandaar doesn't do anything, then it slowly starts to show that he doesn't love Pallavi. We as the audience know that his obsession isn't about his emotions but some other target, and that there is a bigger plan but Pallavi and Raghav don't. I am just guessing that this will trigger them to think about what Mandaar actually wants and then investigate, because so far they think Mandaar is just out to get Pallavi.

Haa yeh sahi baat hai which also shows that he will harm Pallavi so that’s also when maybe Raghav realizes that he has to stay at D house to protect Pallavi.
