Karkerrna3, look at it positively. Aru was always a talent. But she had no stage. These are stepping stones. Some stones are not smooth, some are polished. But steps they are.

If nothing, she will stay in the news and get a lot of press familiarity and coverage.

Can aru refuse these offers?

Like song with pawan and himesh(I thought they did her dirty in the first song by using her name for promotion but not give her quality work) and these octopus thing now..

I don't want aru to be associated with Indian idol anymore after the way they have treated her..

No, she can't refuse at this stage of her life. Once she goes to Kolkata she can find excuses. Not while she is stuck in Mumbai. Refusal to HR is an industry blackmark.

She will be stuck till Sony's contract - 2 years I think, runs. She can be happy with many overseas concerts. The Africa queen is on stage, Canada is calling, the US will be next. Next time she gets these opportunities is only after she is an established solo singer. So Sony is not all bad for her.

And age is on her side. All these experiences will enrich her and prepare her better for a career.

No.

I can bet you will cry again if you found that Sony did not take Aru to UK, Canada, USA etc. etc. , or called her for Super Dancer this weekend, or did not give her a Guru slot for Super Singer. These things would happen if she did not sign (signing is voluntary) . She could then be free and keep taking slow trains to Mumbai every month and overnight in a cheap hotel every time someone called her to try out a new song which would then be used by a Shreya Ghoshal to cut the actual disk.

Arunita's talent was not born in Indian Idol - but she had no breaks till date. She has hit the limelight at the right time and Sony played a part in it. Nothing like this would happen to her if she won SRGMPA. Do you know what Ishita Vishwakarma (who was with Aru in SRGMPA 14) is doing today? Do you know that the last winner of SRGMPA has 24K IG followers! ???

In life, everything is not a bed of roses. You are a winner if on balance you got more than you gave. She won.
