I won't go upon the drama but will strictly stick to the logic - when you go MIA in an armed conflict area, civilians are not permitted to join the search party - unless you've been invited for. Samrat was MIA in Ladakh not in Mahabaleshwar jo bhi chahe doondne ke liye nikle. Virat may be an IPS officer but he's not posted in Ladakh, so he's a civilian too, in this scenario.

Now again going by the same logic, in a real life if army finds about the deserters (the ones especially who escaped from conflict zones) - they will face the music of court martial for wasting army's resources in the search for him & not informing the Army HQ about his whereabouts (if he was rescued or was injured - provided he's able to produce medical records for them).

True that , plus all this inconsistency about armed forces drives me crazy thoda Google use karo yaar atleast when it comes to certain things like the forces please stick to reality. Major turnoff for me
